Ideal for landscaping and construction workers who require added toe protection, these Muck Chore Classic Series Tall Steel Toe Men's Rubber Work Boots keep feet dry and comfortable all day long. The 5 mm CR Flex-Foam build is 100% waterproof and shock-absorbent. It also retains heat and is flexible to adjust to the natural contours of the foot for good support. In addition to outer waterproofing, these men's safety boots keep feet dry on the inside by wicking perspiration away from the skin. Built for durability, these men's rubber work boots feature a steel toe for impact protection, a steel shank for added support, and easy-to-clean rubber overlays and outsoles.
The Chore boots were made to serve. Whether youre working up a sweat out in the field or puttering in the garage, these workhorses are ready to get cracking. Delivering heavy duty protection in a lightweight boot, this waterproof boot features a supportive steel shank, a comfy, removable sockliner, and a gathered collar, keeping mud, water, and gravel at bay. Its tough vulcanized rubber shell is slip-resistant, offering shock-absorbing traction and is especially durable on hard surfaces like concrete and gravel. When your work is done, just rinse them off and theyre ready for another day.See all Product description

For background on environment where these are being used--we live on an island in Alaska..Windy (think 30 to 40 mph 4 or 5 days out of 7) rainy, rainy and windy together, wet boggy ground, active lifestyle, hiking, fishing (as in subsistence, not the relaxed kind of fishing that one might do on a lazy Saturday), constructing, fixing machines, repairing weather-damaged houses, and chasing a preschooler, a great dane-lab mix dog, and 12 chickens. Well, 11. The twelfth is old and and has gotten pretty docile. :)
The boots are comfortable and I have worn them for a full day a few times already and really didn't notice a difference from my daily boots.
I have high arches and I either swap my Red Wing insoles from my daily steel toes or use my Arch Support Foot Sleeves to alleviate the evening sore feet. MuckBoots do not have support for high arches.
- Warm yet breathable
- Well made
- Can be hot in the summer
- No arch support
Your feet will thank you every time you wear these versus the cheap, $15-$20 option.
Speaking of, the first pair had the metatarsal guard, but that came undone after a few months of wear, so I do not recommend buying those.
This pair, just like the first one, was instantly comfortable on my feet and warm enough for temperatures at or below freezing.
The only cons are: #1-the loops for your fingers to assist with pulling them on are on the inside of the boot...makes no sense to me, and #2 the elastic at the top is way too tight on my calfs (painful), so I roll the top down and hope that this stretches it over time.
Ordered the steel toe version for added protection.
The fit is a little large, which is perfect for me in that I
replace the factory insole with a "high performance" an arch support / cushion insole.
Second pair of the steel toed boots for me. They keep water out and provide
descent traction in mud and slick, leaf covered, wet soil. Very comfortable with the
aftermarket arch support / cushion insole. Once you are familiar with the fit, buying the next pair is not an issue.
Youngest son has a pair of MuckBoots without steel toe - he loves them.
We use these boots frequently, but not everyday. They seem to last for us and do a great job.
