An honor graduate of the Great Loon University outside Nevis, Minnesota, my life has been dedicated to public service, as evidenced in my guidebooks listed on www.BuckPeterson.com. As director of the Wheels Under Meals Foundation (tm), my culinary guides for inexpensive foodstuffs ripe for the picking have been credited as "the best left outstanding in the field" readings for the thrifty shopper.
The Quick-Fix Cooking with Roadkill cookbook is the latest, finest entry into the American Culinary Classics Catalog to capture the most important food and entertaining trends - organic, foraged, exotic cuts prepared within diverse cultural traditions. The catering kitchens at my Grand Lodge and Advanced Plucking Center on Big Babe Lake in northernmost Minnesota certify the preparations and celebrate the circle of life so well described by Disney. Suprise your friends and family with a gift of The Quick-Fix Cooking with Roadkill cookbook. Your purchase will support the important work of the foundation and help send Dorothy, Buck's hunting pig, back to obedience school.

Now if I could just get a how to freeze dry your husband's hunted meals................
Years ago now, I worked in the offshore oil field, and my deckhand previously worked with a captain who foraged road kill for his crew. He picked it up from the side of LA Hwy 1 between Leesville and Port of Fourchon on his way to the boat. No joke. When the crew complained to the office, which provided grocery allowance enough to not rely on road kill, a quick trip to the boat verified its presence in the freezer. So under those circumstances, the crew needed a cookbook such as this one.
I cast no aspersions upon road kill per se, but it isn't for those with weak stomachs. Including myself. Don't take this seriously as a cookbook, but if you have a highly accomplished chef to buy for, this could be an exciting diversion for them. I doubt they ever heard of this cookbook. Published by Ten Speed Press....on the road again. :)

Die einzelnen Rezepte sind in Anekdoten eingebettet, die für deutsche Leser wahrscheinlich eine ganz neue Welt erschließen, einen ganz eigenen Sinn für Humor, eine völlig andere Mentalität.
Guten Appetit!
