Every Step Counts
When you put your life on the line, performance matters. Original S.W.A.T understands the level of performance you need to perform, and this high performance execution shows in their line of footwear. Every style of boot has been heavily field tested by professionals, with the final product being the result of years of testing.
Universal safety series features: composite safety toe, nylon shank, electrical hazard protection, gusseted, foam tongue, aegis, ortholite,
Our safety footwear series uses 100% composite safety toes that pass and exceed the ASTM F2413-11 standard. Composite toes are lighter weight than steel and do not conduct heat or cold, making them more comfortable under all conditions. Our wider width safety toe cap does not pinch or bind the toes and they are made to Original S.W.A.T.’s legendary comfort, value, and quality standards.
The Metro Series boots meet the ASTM F2913-11 test for slip resistance, meaning that these boots will grip against water and oil spills, while still maintaining a non-marking rubber outsole.
No matter the conditions, you need confidence that your footwear will not fail. With HydroGuard, and a resistance to bloodborne pathogens, the Metro series is designed to keep your feet dry, and provide traction in most conditions.
Up For the Task
Whether you're dropping into an active scene, or getting ready for a hike, the Metro series provides comfort and stability that you won't find in traditional boots. A custom molded phylon EVA midsole increases comfort, without any additional weight. Texon stability provides lateral support and torsional rigidity.
What this means is you will have a boot that is as flexible as you are, and comfortable enough that you will barely notice them on.
Years of Innovation
With an airport friendly CSA approved composite safety toe, side zipper, non-slip sole, and electrical hazard protection, the Metro series is loaded with features to give you the value that you should expect.
Tried and True
The Metro series has seen extensive use by Police and LEO, Firefighters, EMT/EMS, and other public safety industries. Throughout the years, the results are absolute - the Metro series meets and exceeds the standards of the men and women who keep us safe.
Powerful and Professional
Despite the versatility and universal design of the metro series, the toe and heel are constructed with full grain leather, allowing the boots to be cleaned and polished for all formal events.

First of all, I am a female working in EMS. The last pair of boots I went through were McRae Terassaults, which I loved and wanted to get again. Unfortunately I couldn't find them in the size I needed. I was looking for another generally inexpensive composite toe boots. I came across these Original S.W.A.T. boots and figured that for boots with a safety toe, they were relatively inexpensive. I've never owned this brand.
According to the Amazon boots size chart and my measurements using measuring tape, I'm a solid women's 7.5 exactly, which translates to a men's 6. My old boots were a men's 5.5 (UK 38) but I went with the chart in fear of them being too small. Turns out I should have ordered the 5.5. I have a lot of room in the toe in all directions, and my heel slips in the back of the shoe. But I figure that once I get a chance to break them in, I'll fit better.
Second, getting them to fit comfortably straight out of the box, as with most tactical boots, is near impossible. They are tight around the ankle and loose in the toes. The side zip does not open straight to your ankle as it does with some cheaper Bates. The zipper has an inner lining that folds over when closed (see pics). It's pretty thick and quite uncomfortable but I figure this will also resolve over time.
They have some decent height to them and the sole is pretty sturdy, but not rigid and uncomfortable. I will probably purchase some heel insoles to fix the movement of my heel against the back of the boot. The mesh lining on the sides is pretty nice too, and prevents my feet from getting uncomfortably warm, though I'm not sure how waterproof that part is.
The "leather" material covering the toe is VERY thin, and almost feels like more of a polymer than leather. They'll get scuffed easily. But I'm not that worried about it.
Overall I am satisfied, considering I forgot how painful it is to break in a new pair of boots. Wear some long, thick socks to prevent blisters. You know the drill.
So as stated prior these are a great boot still wear comfortable only slight thing that get me is that rocks are always getting stuck in the tread, but other than that Greats boots.
!!! Warning Do not attempt this at home!!!
Also sense one boot was ruined from my accident that left me with an odd boot and sence they held up so well from my accident I’d see to what extreme they go for. What better way than to take it to the range. The safety toe held up very well the first few shots glance off the safety to but one round I thought made it through upon further examination found out that the .40 bullet got stuck in the safety toe (pic shown after bullet removed). Great safety toe design and remember do not try this a home experiment was done in a safe and controlled environment!
These are great boots well worth the money. I use these as motorcycle boots and they hold up very well. I was actually in an accident with these boots and they saved my feet and did there job well. For this reason I did not hesitate to buy again. They are also very comfortable and support my ankles well. The attached picture is the aftermath of the accident to see how well these boots protect.
We'll I tell you what, these are the best darn boots I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. Light weight, but tuff. Comfortable. Wearing around the house for a little break in period, but really, straight out of the box these are great.
Hey, they will double as my bike boots. My Harley Davidson boots are no we're near how comfortable these are.
The composit toes are great.
I'll be back!
the only downsides I've noticed so far:
the side-zip doesn't make them exactly easy to pull off, but it is doable.
the trim isn't as nice as I'd like; it's a little ragged where the sole meets the upper.
Overall, they're great for the price, especially for a steel-toe.
UPDATE - 7/10/13
after owning these for about 5 months, they're starting to reveal their price. I wear these boots on my motorcycle, and the left toe has worn through the leather from shifting to reveal plastic below. The zippers, also, have gotten a little more jam-happy, but still work. I'd still say they're worth the price, as this is the only place they show wear, and I've been wearing them 5 days or more per week since I got them. I did take a low-speed spill on my bike, and the leather was only a little scuffed: the boots held up well and protected me fine.

It's a bit pricey, but worth the price.
