I ordered this after a different pair wouldn’t cut through my heavy duty orthodontic wires. I frequently have powerchains, which causes wires to get too long after dental visits. I have had to drive back to them so many times, I decided to take matters into my own hands again after a different pair simply wouldn’t cut.

Now, I have only used these once, BUT they worked perfectly and feel very sturdy. I am happy to finally have something as quality as these to end poking wire issues!

This product worked well for cutting my daughter’s poking wires on her braces. Her wires are on the thicker side so it was very difficult to cut the wire and I had to squeeze with a lot of force. One complaint I have is that the wire cutter does not hold on to the clipped wire once it has been cut, so it is difficult to make sure she doesn’t swallow the cut wire. But it does the job and saved us a trip to the orthodontist, so I would use this again.
