This is a great product paired with my Sony Xperia z3 running Remote Play to my PS4. The phone holds the phone as it should and it functions as it should (for the most part). Here are a couple gripes that make this a less than a 5-star product:

1. The Xperia z3 power and volume buttons on on the middle of the right side. The clamp covers them and when nudged, it kinda makes the phone sit crooked on the clamp. Not really sure who to blame on this one but given the mount requirements (for balance) I blame Sony for putting the buttons there. Not really knocking the star off for that.

2. I am, however, knocking a star off for the clip blocking the entire light on the DS4. Personally, I like the blue indicator on the controller and would have like to see that better implemented on the mount. This may be a plus for those that are annoyed by the light but again, my personal preference would be for it to be visible. It lets me know the controller is on. This is nothing a Dremel tool can't fix though. Unfortunately, not everyone has a Dremel tool though.

Besides the gripes, this product is a definite keeper. The hinges seem strong and the mount holds the phone at a nice level.

Just big enough for Nexus 6 with slim case

The clip works well and I really like that it comes with the OTG cable. It doesnt feel very robust, but it has been working well, and if it was thicker it would be heavier. The Nexus 6 is probably close to the widest phone that will fit in this clip, as i have to stretch is all the way. Overall, its a good setup for game streaming.

I like the product but it isn't the best out there. Although it is worth the price. Mine seems to have a minor defect that causes the device in the holder to tilt to the right a bit so it isn't perfectly level but I can deal with that. I was considering the NYKO option but this one can hold a PS Vita Slim.

Slightly difficult to get it attached but fits like a glove.

Really handy device.

Holds my phone firmly in place and snaps onto a PS4 controller firmly with no wiggle. I didn't think emulation on my phone could get any better until controller support but having to find a place to set your phone so you can use the controller was rather counter intuitive. This solves the problem and solves it well. My first concern was my phone was going to be to big/heavy (Droid Turbo) and would fall out of the support easily but it holds even when giving the whole assembly a decent shake. Second concern was the support's spring tension would wear out and not hold the phone well anymore, however after several months it still holds firmly and still holds up to shaking it without letting go. Overall great product and seems sturdy enough that daily use has not worn it out yet.

Falls short on durability, but not for everyone

Currently using this device with Sony Z5 Compact.

Since the PS4 controller is a Sony product, there is a separate option within the Xperia Z5 series to connect it.
I am mentioning this in case some of you out there are intending to use the PS4 controller exclusively for your mobile device, and do not own (or intend to use for) a PS4.

As for this product itself, I will split up the review in three parts: DESIGN, DURABILITY, KEY POINTS.

DESIGN:
-Perfectly cutout for the buttons
-Very minimal obstruction for SHARE, START, and Touchpad
-Headphone jack and Micro USB slot exposed
-Covers the triangular light on the back of the controller, between the L1 and R2 buttons
-Clip extends enough to fit almost any "phablet" (Not meant for tablets imo)
-Screws that hold the phone are easy to adjust and resistant
-Rough finish. The plastic on the bottom of this product don't have a clean cut.

DURABILITY:
-The part that wraps around the controller definitely feels like cheap material, but as long as it remains on your controller permanently, it should pose no problem. If you intend on removing it and equipping it often (as PS4 players would I assume), its durability may fall short
-The clip is spring loaded, but it does not come up steadily. When you pull on the spring, it can tilt a bit to the sides. This is also a concern since it feels like carelessness may break the clip.
-Everything else feels very durable

KEY POINTS:
-This clip, when folded completely, will cover the PS button. This provides good protection for your analog sticks if you intend on carrying this in your bag. It removes the need for a separate PS4 controller case
-One thing that the description failed to mention is if this clip can hold phones with CASES. My Z5 Compact is already known to be a thicker phone, and I have a case with a card pouch attachment with 4 cards. The total thickness of my device comes out to be approximately 1.5cm (~.6 inches). This clip can hold it just fine and I do not need to remove my case or cards. Thought many of you would appreciate this fact

All in all, it's a product that fulfills its purpose. I still give it 5 stars rather than 4 because durability in my particular case isn't very relevant. However, as I pointed out, due to its materials, this product may be a 4 star product to many of you.

Unfortunately, there are not many substitutes like this in the market, and for the price, I highly recommend this.

Only complaint is that the clip does not expand far enough to hold larger phones when they're in a case. Not a huge problem, i just had to MacGyver it and twist-tie my Otterbox clip onto the product. Works great regardless
