Quality TPU case

I have had good success protecting phones and tablets with TPU cases, so why not the Switch I thought. This is a pretty simple TPU material case, but the execution is good. Cutouts and fit were perfect, and nothing is blocked.

There's ergonomic grips added, but they're not very big, so that the case can still work with many travel bags. The grips do still help comfort a bit, but less so than big grips would. They're a bit of a compromise. Even still, I like having something to curl my fingers around, and consider the case an improvement over the naked Switch's comfort.

My only minor gripe is that the power button is a little harder for me to get to, due to my fingers being a little too fat to get into the little cut out area easily. Its not blocked, just a little harder to get to with my man hands. This is a non issue though, since you can turn the Switch on by holding the Home button as well.

I got one of each case, because my family has 2 Switch. The outside of the black case has a little texture to it, so it feels kind of like a PS4 controller. The TPU is a bit stiffer than some I've had for some phone cases. It fits snug and feels sturdy. The transparent case is a little more flexible, and reminds me of what I'm using on my phone. The TPU is smooth but not slippery to my hands.

This is my second Orzly Switch product that was basically spot on. The other being their tempered glass screen protector, which is currently on my Switch with the black grip case.

TLDR: This isn't a complicated product here. It's just a TPU case. Orzly didn't mess it up with any silly mistakes.

Affordable, quality case for the Switch

I'm a little late to the Nintendo Switch, having just bought the console in March of 2018. Within the first week of having the Switch, I played 20-30 hours of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in handheld mode alone, and while the Switch itself is great, I noticed my hands would hurt after prolonged play. Unfortunately the Switch's handheld capabilities didn't include ergonomic hand grips, so I looked into cases here on Amazon. The Orzly brand had the best reviews, and I can see why. I bought the solid black color because I have the gray joy-cons, and the black matte was most appealing. Overall, the case fits well, provides the comfort I want, the price is cheap (but the case doesn't appear so), and the TPU feels nice, like a balanced mix between a hard plastic and a flexible silicone. It's also a breeze to take off and put on, and the grips make playing the Switch in handheld mode much more enjoyable.

The reason I gave the case four stars instead of five is because of one thing:
While the case doesn't block any vents, ports, etc, it does make the L and R buttons a tad bit difficiult to press. While my fingers are resting on those buttons (especially the L button), they're actually touching the case too (tried to show this in my photos). Playing Breath of the Wild, these buttons are regularly used, but it ends up being more of a nuisance than a hindrance, which is alright.

Over all, perfect for what I need it for, which is having a (better) grip on my Switch. Very comfy and even with warm hands like mine, it doesn't get slippery or anything. Has a slight texture. Don't expect it to be super soft/smooth like silicone (it's firm, but bendable.)

Only downside is removing it. Does NOT fit with the dock (but not a big deal for me - I just charge straight from the cable.) If you see yourself detaching the joycons often, probably not a good option since constantly removing the grip would not only be cumbersome (for this color), but also cause possible aesthetic damage to the Switch over time (scratches and such from having to remove it often.) Otherwise, just be careful, like I will be. 😅

Over all it does exactly what I want it to do. The only times I need to remove it is so I can do Fitness Boxing. Otherwise I just play without detaching the joycons which is perfect for this grip. :)

This case is great quality, don't get me wrong. I struggle using the switch as a handheld and this case makes it SO much better gripwise minus 2 huge issues for me.

1.) Have fun pressing the R and L button because they are pretty much a pain to press with this case on.

2.) Easy to take off? Every time I take it off to dock I cringe and hope I don't damage/snap the joycons.

If you take a peek at the pictures I posted I have a pretty easy solution and it makes both my issues non existent. Using a safety razor I cut the pieces you see for better access to the R and L buttons all while making it easier to take the case off to dock. Granted...I shouldn't have to do this but I enjoy the case so much better now. The case does still stay on and won't just slip off. Be warned that it fits a tad loose on the top and a slightly on the sides. For me, it's a non issue because unlike a phone case that I use to protect my device, this isn't on my switch all the time for "protection" but more for a comfortable handheld experience while in use.

After suffering from the switch gamers 'sore wrist' affliction I realized I needed a cover/case with grip handles, The ORZLY comfort case was the right choice as its taken the strain off and solved the problem almost instantly. Flexible enough to remove easily when going into dock mode, soft feel material without having that cheap rubbery coating, perfectly snug when fitted so it doesnt shift around or come loose at the edges, access to all the ports and slots including plenty of space around the kickstand, and best of all the switch still fits in my carry case even with this product fitted.

Overall very happy with this item, well worth the purchase.

The handles on the back aren't quite enough for a comfortable hold, I would say I have medium sized hands not big but not small, the case is a bit loose at the bottom near the charging port, you have to take it off the switch before putting it in a case, maybe not if you have a large carry case? But that isn't really an issue, I will be keeping my eyes out for a more suitable cover.

Nice grip case for switch. Didn't find it to hard to put on or take off. Try putting the top of the switch in first then push the joycon at the bottom and should just pop in nicely. To take off pull off from the bottom and lift the switch out.

Feels good in hand and makes longer play sessions much more comfortable. Looks nice when on as well. Only real gripes are that it isn't dockable and doesn't let me fit my Bluetooth adapter but aside from that good for the price.

This is without a doubt one of the best grip cases for the Switch. I purchased this because the little to no grip from the stock Switch is difficult to deal with because of how smooth the design is.

This case is just exactly what you need to fully enjoy a Nintendo Switch in my opinion.

The only reason this doesn’t get the full 5 is because getting it off requires a bit of force which doesn’t feel nice to do considering your dealing with pretty expensive hardware aswell as a clear warning on the Switch guide not to put too much pressure on the joycons.

But when it’s on it is just perfect. 4/5

Do NOT buy this for the OLED switch, the cutouts are misaligned as you can see in the photos, the volume up, speaker grills, headphone jack, and game cartridge port are all partially covered by the case. Not impressed.
