Rust stained beaters?

Are these beaters made from stainless steel? They rusted after the first time I put them in the dishwasher. I cleaned them, and the same thing happened, even after hand washing and drying with a paper towel. I am returning this mixer-for the price paid, I would expect far better quality.

I was excited to see that there was a mixer that would allow me to beat a cold stick of butter with the same results as if I'd taken the butter out and allowed it to come to room temperature. And this mixer did do that perfectly. But oddly and unfortunately the beaters are so short that even on a normal quantity of batter for a 9 x13 size cake the batter goes all the way up the beaters onto the body of the mixer itself. I had to scrap the batter down off the top of the beaters-- made it impossible to use efficiently and it made a horrible mess on the mixer. This was the case on the cake batter and the also the frosting I made for that same cake -- again these were not overly large quantities I was trying to mix. I was very surprised at this especially since this mixer was recommended by Good Housekeeping magazine -- they say that they test all products multiple times before recommending -- someone certainly didn't do a good job on testing this mixer! Very irritating to have the hassle of returning this for a seemingly obvious design flaw that should never have happened.

Almost perfect but falls short... literally

Almost perfect but not quite. Biggest issue, which is a big issue to me, is the length of the beaters. They look plenty long but once inserted into the mixer head they are short. Not nearly long enough to use for my large bowls, deep bowls, or large quantity batches. The point of getting this was bc I do very large batches that won't fit in my stand mixer. I love the power, the heated butter setting, the container for storage... everything about it except the beater length. I kept it because almost nothing else is as powerful, and I otherwise burn up my hand mixers. But, I wouldn't buy it again.

FYI: Usable beater length is only 4 3/4"

I haven't had a chance to try softening butter with this mixer; however, it does a good job of blending cookie dough. I am disappointed that no whisk or dough hook was included in the box with the mixer. I ordered this product through Amazon and the info about the mixer mentioned a whisk and dough hook included. The model # is FPSTHMSNC-WS.
A reply would be appreciated. Thank you. Actually, ended up returning the product, because missing items could not be replaced. Reordered same style mixer and same Model number; however, the price increased by $11.00 + tax. Hope all the accessories are in this one!

I bought this mixer after returning two others due to lack of power and poor quality. This one works great. It's a little heavy, but I love it. It has a great range of speeds. You can set it flat on the counter when adding ingredients which is awesome; no beaters in the way because you have to hang them over the bowl. I've only used the heating feature a couple of times, but it definitely works as advertised. It slowly warmed up cream cheese that I used to make a dip, and a mayonnaise mixture that didn't come out at first so I had to heat the eggs. Would definitely buy again!
