Open a Wine Bottle in 3 Easy Steps
Simple Push-Button Operation
Before removing the cork, any foil seal covering the cork must be removed first. A handy foil cutter comes included making the task quick and easy.
To use the electric wine bottle opener, place it on top of a wine bottle, making sure it remains in an upright position and not at an angle to the bottle. A single operating switch ensures foolproof operation from here. Simply press the lower part of the switch to start. The unit's corkscrew spiral will turn to enter the cork, then it will gradually remove the cork from the bottle, stopping once the cork has been fully removed from the bottle. Lift the electric wine bottle opener away from the bottle, and remove the cork by pressing the upper part of the switch--the spiral turns in the opposite direction to release the cork. Voila. Let the pouring begin.
Opens up to 30 Bottles on a Full Charge
Measuring 2-1/4 inches in diameter by 10-3/4 inches tall, the electric wine bottle opener provides an ergonomically designed, soft-grip handle that fits in the palm of your hand for a firm grip. Other highlights include an LED charging light on the top of the unit and a power indicator light on the base, which offers a small footprint that takes up minimal space on a kitchen counter, bar, table, or buffet. When not in use, return the electric wine bottle opener to its charging base. A full recharge takes about six to eight hours. Fully charged, it can open approximately 30 bottles of wine.
Available in a Silver, Merlot or Champagne finish, the electric wine bottle opener makes a great gift idea for that wine lover on your list.

We like to have a good time... I mean...we effin' get down on some wine. So this bad boy probably pops open a new bottle every 2 days. It has stayed plugged in to our wall for over 3 years now (I halfway expected the battery would have burned out by now, but nope!). We haven't even had to replace the screw yet --- still works like new --- I'm shocked and impressed this $20 opener has faithfully lasted this long.
Often times you get what you pay for (I know b/c I'm cheap... like... the OG of cheap) --- but this is an exception to that rule --- I have no idea why anyone would pay $50+ for another "more recognizable" brand --- this is packed with all the quality you could ever need. I probably sound like a sound like a PR rep from Oster, but I had to write a review of this little guy when I saw him sitting unrighteously unreviewed in my past orders.
So, why do I still give it three stars? Well, it's $20 and works well until it's inevitable failure. You'll very likely get between 1-2 years out of this guy (hopefully) and you won't regret your purchase once you use it... until you need to open wine and don't have an opener.. I've since moved on and now use the Onzeri one and have realized that this Oster model feels a lot more solid. The Ozeri sounds/feels like it's wheezing out its final breath whenever we use it to open wine. It has lasted longer, but it's feels like it has the motivation of a teenager being forced to do its chores whenever we use it. The saving grace for the Ozeri is that the charge is a cable that attaches to the outside and it doesn't rely on a base to do this, so even if it does with a cork in it we can still charge the opener and eject the cork.
Best product i've bought to-date -- every wine lover should own one of these. No more broken wine cork stuck in bottles, no more struggles trying to twist the cork screw into the cork. This takes less than a minute and pressing a button to automatically screw into the cork and extract out the cork from the bottle. The handy foil cutter that comes along with purchase was great too! After using this, I bought other 2 of this electric wine opener - one for my best friend and one for my dad.
Fair enough - it is pretty cheap. We took it to be an anomaly and bought another one. That lasted just a little over three months before failing in the exact same way.
Obviously it is now time to switch brands. Too bad. This product, when it was reliable, was a good value. Apparently there's been some cost-cutting or unintended change.
