The Oster Cordless Electric Wine Bottle Opener is a must have for wine connoisseurs! I'm 47 and my ability to open a wine bottle with an old fashioned corkscrew is not what it used to be! The Oster Cordless Electric Wine Bottle Opener makes my life a lot easier! I have had the product for almost a year and it has never failed me! Once the unit is charged I generally can open up to around 16 bottles over a 4 1/2 month period before I have to recharge, which is sweet. All you do is take the foil cutter off the back of the cordless electric wine bottle opener base, twist it around the top of the bottle to remove the overlay of foil and expose the cork; put the wine bottle opener on top of the bottle, press the down portion of the button on the front and when the opener turns off you press up on that same button and like magic, your wine is ready to pour and enjoy. I would recommend this product to a friend and I would purchase again.

I had a Sharper Image wine bottle opener (similar to The Rabbit) for years. The metal spring finally broke and trying to open a bottle of wine with one of those screw-in openers is beyond my ability so onto Amazon.com I hopped. The Sharper Image is now out of business so since I had used their opener for years successfully, I checked the Rabbit. The reviews were truly discouraging. It seems they are putting a PLASTIC spring in those things. Now if I have a hard time with all my strength opening a bottle the old fashioned way, imagine how brittle plastic would turn out to be when exposed to the stress of removing a cork from a wine bottle. So I passed on that and started looking at other options. This Oster Electric Wine Bottle Opener is reasonable and attractive. I figured if it didn't last that long at least I didn't spend a fortune on it. Well, here I am months later still using it. I open a bottle of wine about every 4 days and have since purchasing this. There is no way of knowing how long it will last but I feel it has already been a good value. It also doesn't take up that much room in the kitchen, another plus. If one needs a new wine bottle opener, I recommend giving the Oster a try.

A winner so far - six months. Once charged, it has the horsepower to get out even the rather sticky corks in our Two Buck Chuck. One annoyance is that the charging lights stay on, even once it's charged, which makes for an annoying red light in the kitchen. However, one charge is good for about 30 bottles, according to the instructions, so I'm just leaving it unplugged. A few reviews warn of breakage under normal use, but those reviews are quite old, so I'm hopeful. I've used it now for six months with no recharge and no breakage.

I ordered this a couple of months ago because the one I had for almost 5 years was giving out. I'd been so happy with my first one! This I've used several times now and only once have I NOT had to dig the cork back out of the opener. Most of the time I have to use force even to get the cork out of the wine bottle. I looked for a way to contact the seller, but I've found none. Hopefully this review will catch someone's attention and they can help me with the situation. So, buyer beware - and use immediately after purchasing because the return window closes a month later.

We have had this for about 5 months and have opened about 10 bottles of wine. Then it broke and will not work. 10 bottles!!!! Very disappointed in the quality of this product. I should say don't buy it, but I'm not that kind of person. Make your own choice. We may have gotten a bad one. Who knows. I tried calling and had no luck with the company. WOW!!

I love this wine opener. I actually bought it to replace an identical one that went missing after I took it to a picnic. Had it for at least 6 years with no problems and was happy to see how affordable it was given that there are so many other options now. I looked at other options but I'm glad I stuck with one I was already used to because I don't see a need for anything more than what this one can do.

Works great so far! My wife and I always buy Cupcake Moscato d'Atsi and we have gone through 4 or 5 bottle openers trying to open these bottles. Finally decided to try an electric opener for it, and it opened right up. And the included cutter works like a charm also! Have only used it a few times but so far it hasn't failed us yet. Definitely recommend especially if you continue to buy bottles that are pain to uncork.

My goodness...I have FINALLY found a wine bottle opener that works perfectly!!! This Grammy doesn't always have the strength to use other wine bottle openers and this Oster Cordless Electric Wine Bootle Opener is that LAST wine bottle opener I'll ever have!!! Thank you, Oster!!! Purchased it in September, 2014. It attempted to pull its last cork in early October, 2014. It was a total waste of money and time. Save yourself the aggravation and look to some other manufacturer for an electric cork puller.
After opening the first bottle it never actually got a cork more than about half an inch out a bottle before just stopping. Real cork or artificial made no difference; tight, loose, crumbly made no difference. Charge time made no difference. It was like the battery could never supply enough energy to the screw to get the job done under load.
The aggravation would then come trying to get the cork screw out of the cork. Sometimes it would reverse out of the cork. Most times I had to unscrew the corkscrew by hand after horsing it out, breaking the cork in the process.
Worthless product.
