I took the bracket to my local hardware store. The store had screws for wood and sheet metal in even sizes (e.g. #8, #10, #12, etc.), and the largest size that fit the holes was #10, so I bought three #10 × 1/2" long screws. As a detail, I could have bought wood screws, but instead, I bought sheet metal screws that were basically identical but 18-8 stainless steel (this is my fetish). The main thing is I bought three #10 × 1/2" screws with pan heads (not flat heads).
For hardwood, a 1/8" pilot hole would let #10 threads bite the wood without spreading the wood, but my cabinet is soft wood (probably pine), so I drilled 3/32" pilot holes instead (using a pin vise), being careful to drill only 1/2" deep (so I would not drill through to the other side of the wood).
The screws bit nicely into the soft wood, drawing the bracket firmly to the wood surface. Finally, I placed the hair dryer unit on the bracket, and I pushed it down to snap it into its final position.
My photos show I made two sets of holes in my cabinet. The upper set of holes worked with three Sunbeam 1632-020 dryers, and the lower set of holes worked with two Oster 76832-710 dryers that have a slightly shorter power cord. The dryer base covers all the holes.
