3.5 Stars Interesting
This stand-alone is easy to follow. Additional editing would help the sentence structure and make a smoother flowing story. There is violence and dysfunction but no drag-you-down drama.
Procedures, actions and reactions are not always realistic. Occasionally the story seemed to be written for young adults.
The idea that the main character would have a teenage girl staying overnight with only him in his condo is just plain stupid. The media has previously crucified him for something he did not do. Now the cops are looking for anything to attack him with and he leaves himself open for statutory rape charges?
The characters and storyline are believable. The dialogue is entertaining.
No desire to re-read this story. I am interested in other works by this author.
The story draws you in. The characters grab you and you can relate to them easily. It is a work of fiction, but it is about life too. I recommend it to all over 16.
Couple of troubling plot issues. But overall a quick fun read
The writing style was somewhat amateurish. It was also terse at times. I could tell that a man had written it by the economy of words, without knowing who wrote it. The story had some unbelievable and really pathetic moments.
