This book is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared for verbosity and also full immersion into the subject
of Shadow. Stretch your mind with this one, and be prepared to read it more than once to gain all the juices here.

This is a fabulous book - if you are at all interested in how the things inside of you relate to what is happening to you in your life - and how the things outside of you relate to the same. There is what was - and what is and where you're heading because of that. Some people would think that's all you need to know - but there's a lot more than that in this book than just these three things, or was it two, or was it four?
In any case - Danny sets the universe, the world, and your place in it (and quite a bit more actually) into a frame work one can actually deal with within a tactile familiar and entertaining bunch of big ideas plainly stated. It's a guide book for life - and passage. In it you have to look back to see forward. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It's like the problems (and who doesn't have problems) themselves in my life led me to Danny and this book to help solve them. And there's no complaints here.

This book is overflowing with mythological understanding of our ( human) psyche. I read it after reading Bill Plotkin's books; Soulcraft... and... Wildmind. The Other Within gives depth and an aged wisdom to understanding our psyche's underworld..... unconscious / subconscious. How to understand and approach the line between the village (culture/society) and the forest (the natural wild state of man and nature). Intense to read... i am starting it again and finding the second reading gives a much clearer deeper understanding.
