I downloaded the trial version of The Otherside: Realm of Eons but although the game has a good price and lovely graphics I decided not to buy it. After having played quite a number of these types of games, amongst them Echoes of the Past: Royal House of Stone [Game Download], Flux Family Secrets: The Ripple Effect [Game Download] and Pahelika: Secret Legends [Game Download], I found this game too easy. Whenever a puzzle needs to be solved, the hints tell the player exactly what to do. Right down to which objects are needed, etc. So consequently there was no real challenge involved, just finding hidden objects (easy as well, because the rooms are not over-stuffed with objects as is the case with most hidden object games) and then using them as instructed by the hints which constantly pop up automatically.

While I am not one who likes to try forever to solve a puzzle or game, this quickly bored me. The mini games that I saw during the 30-minute trial were too easy as well. I would give this game to an older child but I don't find it suitable for adults.

I just played the half-hour demo and for $3.49 (Amazon's price atm) this is worth it. The game has 25 chapters and I only got to the 3rd in my half hour demo. So it's a fairly long one. Yes it's easy, but the game mechanics are a bit different in that you have to find a number of objects to equal a main object. (you don't find PARTS of the object like the Treasure Seekers games, you find other objects). Then you use the "whole item" to interact. The graphics are crystal clear which is a must for me.

I probably would not pay $6.99 for this (the going rate for most download games of this ilk) but for half price I am going to get it. It's easy, relaxing, and pleasant.

I don't play with the music turned on so can't comment on that.

Hope my comments are helpful. 7/16/10.

Yes, this game is easier than some others. BUT,if you have kinda' poor eyesight (like me) or have grandchildren coming to your home who like to play your games, it is wonderful! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole game, and was sorry when it was over. This is definately one I will come back to down the road!

at first i thought i made a mistake in buying this game felt more like a preteen game' but i kept playing and found it to be interesting, i would discribe the game as a sort of alice in wonderland , instead of a smiling cat you get a stuff bear who pops in to supportand help you on the other side, ho's are not difficult, but each ho is a part of a task you must complete, you travel through portals, houses, rooms, carnival, glittering stars help guide your way through, just when you think you have solved the mystery and returning home you find out your wrong. lots of sites you don,t go b&f {back & forth} to the same screens i was very pleased that the game turned out to be a lot of fun.

I wanted to play this game because it seemed interesting and Namco was involved (one of the companies involved in Mishap: An Accidental Haunting - great game!).
The story was interesting. Miranda helps reunite a brother & sister with the help of a teddy bear - the sometimes not so helpful Jovie. The sister has a certain power; she has been abducted by a group known as The Order. The ending is more satisfactory than some games of this type that I've played.
No voice overs. Nice music but gets repetitive. Enjoyed the puzzles except the "match colored triangle pieces to a pattern" got old after awhile.
Nice graphics - the people looked like people.
Most objects weren't too hard to find - there is a hint button which recharges after awhile.
Overall, good hidden object/puzzle game.

First off, even though the game info doesn't say it is for windows 7, it works flawlessly on windows 7. The game is a lot of fun with a decent story line and long enough to cost a lot more. Some of the puzzles are repeated too often but overall a good purchase in my opinion.

There was virtually no challenge to this game. The game tells you exactly what to find (most of the time showing you exact pictures of the objects you are looking for) and then tells you exactly what to do with the items you picked up. I would rather play a HO game where I need to use my brain a little - for this game, all you need is your eyes. Glad I bought it on sale.
