Evan Arden was a great character- complex, imperfect, crass, and interesting.
I enjoyed the secondary characters (especially Rinaldo and Jonathan) and would be interested to see them both again if she continues with this group.
The one thing that kept this from being a 5 star review for me was that Lia's character didn't feel very fleshed out. I understand that this was Evan's series and about him and his perspective, and I don't mind that, but I would have liked to hear more from him about what he liked about Lia (other than sex) and his observations about her. I feel like Lia was given as much attention as the prostitute in the second book.
What an awesome, insanely intense conclusion to this trilogy! I love Evan Arden okay? I loved everything about his journey.
But what I loved the most about this trilogy was that over the course of all the books here, there was never a moment of contrived stupidity. Nothing that would induce the dreaded eye roll either. All books in this trilogy were done superbly. You have the intensity of characters, plot, heart, suspense, fear, love, and all things erotic. And it all blends well. In EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. And I must say this final book here, did not leave me wanting at all. I honestly can't see how anyone would not enjoy this trilogy. It has everything in it. And all things are placed precisely where they should be.
Everything ties in nicely & comes to a solid close regarding all things you come to learn about, over the course of this trilogy. It's awesome. It's hot. It's heartbreaking & frightening. And it's waiting for you to pick it up.
My heart is breaking that I must now say goodbye to Evan *tears*
I would highly recommend this trilogy. Please read in order.
The two main characters, Evan and Lia are a fantasy dream come true for those who like dark, tough guys and women who won't give up on them and ultimately led them to love.
There were some characters I would have preferred hadn't gotten killed, but aside from that the book was perfect.
