Otis G. Sanders has been a professional photographer for 30+ years. His love for photography started at the age of 12. Reading has always been a favorite past time for Otis. His fascination for the written word coupled with his expertise in photographing people lead to the production of his first table top book, "Always & Forever, Love" subtitled: Success Stories of Marriages 20+ Years Strong.
Otis has now published a follow-up book to the first, titled: "Always & Forever, Love" subtitled: African American Success Stories of Marriages 20+ Years Strong.
The first book demonstrates through 50 couples of different ethnic backgrounds how God/Spirituality, Love, Respect, Trust, Communication, Commitment, Togetherness, Forgiveness, Patience & Honesty, are the ingredients that help build strong, lasting marriages.
The main focus of the second book: "Always & Forever, Love" Subtitled: African American Success Stories of Marriages 20+ Years Strong is to uplift, encourage, highlight, and celebrate Successful Marriages within the African American community.
Through it all we (African Americans) have had and are continuing to have success in the areas of marriage and family, contrary to the fact that some statistics point to the fact that most (African American marriages) end in divorce.
In the front of the book there are 8 (African American) couples that met online and developed a relationship that led to marriage. This shows how some couples are meeting and how a number of those meetings are leading to marriage in the age of the internet and social media that is prevalent today.
The remainder of the book consists of approximately 50 couples that have been successful and happily married 20+ years, chosen from a variety of states. These couples were interviewed to find out what they’ve done and are continuing to do that has allowed them to have a long standing, loving, successful and happy marriage. Each couple has a one page article written about them with the opposite page being a current photograph of the successful couple. These couples are divided into groups according to years of marriage, example: On-line couples, 20 - 35 years of marriage, 36 - 49 years of marriage, and 50 to the longest standing couple.
The couples in both books have thousands of years of experience in successful marriage and are qualified to pass on their hard won knowledge and wisdom to those on their own journey to a successful, happy, loving and lasting marriage.
