Top Customer Reviews
it is a very pretty bright yellow color, and fits perfectly on my Iphone 5c
I did take away one star because it is a very bulky huge case and if you are like me and have tiny hands its very hard to even hold.
that being said i am a dropper, i have cracked my iphone 5c phone screen 3 times, to the point i have had to got to an apple store and get the screen replaced for 70 dollars 3 freaking times.
I know I know i should have gotten this case sooner!
I've dropped my phone with this case on in from the roof of the car, on cement, just anywhere you can think i have dropped my phone.
this case has not faltered in its protection.
it has scuffed but honestly a few little scuffs for not having to pay for a new screen is so so so worth it
stick with getting an otterbox i haven't had a single problem with it since i got it. all the openings are big enough that i can fit my headphones or press the side buttons easily.
My thoughts on this case:
*Some say the apple icon on the back doesn't line up, but mine is fine. The fit is perfect for the phone.
*Love the green color, love that the phone feels protected but not bulky. Still not sure I will trust the 3 y/o with it unattended though, mostly due to the screen cover (or lack of).
*Don't like the screen cover. I struggled to put it on, finally got irritated and my husband worked on it. He was more patient and it is on. Basically it is a clear sticker. Not sure how much protection it will add, other than from scratches, and it has a few little air bubbles underneath that bother me due to looks. It was the best we could do, so if it bugs me too much, I guess I'll peel it off and take my chances. I wish the screen cover was more like the defender for the 4s which was a built in plastic piece in the front. Definitely not opposed to switching cases in the future if I find something slim with a better protector for the screen.
I decided to give the commuter series a try. I liked that it was not as clunky as the defender yet seemed to have just as much protection. I could us the new glass style screen protectors which gives the phone a much nicer look to it.
This particular case has a really nice look and feel to it. I've gotten many compliments on just how great it looks. Unfortunately I had to knock off one star due to the cover over the power button. You really have to press down hard to engage the power button. It almost requires you both hands to get it to work. One hand to hold the phone firmly, the other to push it on. Other than this issue its a great case and looks great!
I wanted to find a case that "matched" my phone, even though you can't see the color. This was perfect. I know my phone is green underneath and let's be honest, who really cares that I have a 5C that is green? Only me. So the case needs to protect my investment. This does that.
Unlike the Defender series, this doesn't have the polycarbonate (?) that covers the screen as well, but that's okay. I was more interested in keep the black of my phone from popping out of the green of the back of the phone (which has happened too many times). This keeps the entire phone intact. And, I can still see peeks of green of the original phone, in the back. It's not overly bulky, but the commuter series is more streamline. Still bulkier than the actual phone in the 5C specified cases from Apple, but it's okay. I'm a woman and don't stick my phone in my pocket anyway.
The price is fine for me, to protect a phone that would cost me a lot more to replace...worth it to me.
