I absolutely love this ottoman! For the price, it’s beautiful. Here are my observations: The material is made out of thick cardboard, so it is not in any way intended to be a seat for someone over 150lbs. I weigh 135, and it’s sturdy enough when I sit on it, but it was a bit wobbly when I moved around a bit. Aside from that, the fabric feels expensive, it’s perfect for storage, the gray is true to form and the size is perfect for a full size bed. If you are looking for something more sturdy, this is not for you. But if you’re like me, bargain shopping for some extra storage with a chic look, this otto is for you. I’ve attached pictures for your review. I’m currently working on furnishing my room and this piece fits right in.

If you, like most others, chose to purchase this cheaply made, unwieldy, velcro built contraption as a toy box, (since after all it is listed on Amazon as a TOY BOX CHEST WITH SMART LIFT TOP, be aware:

It's none of these things.

It is not meant to be a toy box -
-specifically the warning labels even say not to use it as a child's toy box.
-It's very much like a pizza box held together with velcro glued to cardboard panels.
--(We all know how well that works - velcro glued to cardboard - yeah that's a long term solution.

The lid is not smart in any way. Think Crispy creme donut box lid.
It's actually a laughable that anyone would call this thing "smart" as the only thing smart about it was getting you to buy this disposable piece of junk.

When the flat package was dropped off by UPS, I was curious, "...what is this?" I wondered. But then when I opened it and saw some flat cardboard looking pop up sides - and the lid - having a typical furniture sticker attached to the product - "WARNING - RISK OF CHILD SUFFOCATION - THIS PRODUCT IS NOT INTENDED OR SUITABLE FOR USE AS A TOY CHEST" (photo attached.)

Problem was that it arrived without enough time to return it and get something different in time for Christmas morning. So we opted to set it up and let our 4-year old use it as an auxiliary toy repository at the foot of his bed.

Wouldn't you know it's held together with velcro and is already falling apart. The velcro is coming unglued from the middle sections, the lid is beginning to cave in on itself. The lid, what a terrible design this is, every time you try and close it you are reminded of a trying to close a Crispy Creme Donut box or one of those new Dominos pizza boxes. What a drag that is right? Well this lid is worse, not to mention that a kid cannot possibly close it by themselves. The center section of the box is barely accessible when the lid is opened all the way, so the normal thing a kid will do is push the lid over to access the middle section of the box, the lid falls off and then is impossible for the kid to put back on top of the box again.

I'm just shocked this stupid box is even available on Amazon much less the price. Avoid this thing at all costs.

This is great. I had a nicer bench at the foot of our bed but always kept it covered because it is primarily there to help one of our dogs get up on the bed. I replaced it with this one because it looks pretty good and I was tired of covering the nicer one. I moved the nicer one to a different room and figured if the dogs messed this one up I can easily replace it because the price is cheap. I will say that I love that you can lift up either side separately and it can have up to three compartments. I assembled it under two minutes. It's sturdy enough for my seventy pound dog to jump on and for me (140lb) to stand on. I keep the dog toys in it. Very satisfied!

Sturdy fabric bench at a good price

Nice sturdy fabric storage bench. The 2 dividers allows one to separate items or you can leave them out for larger items. I am placing this on the foot of the bed for storage. It also lifts from each side so you don't have to take the whole top off. This is convenient and comes in handy when the "con" listed in the next paragraph happens.

I only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because the aide aren't as hard as I expected so when I put a comforter on one side, it causes it to slightly bulge. Then the top doesn't close around it smoothly (see attached pics). But it's easy to push the side back in so the top rests back on smooth.

It was a snap to put together and really didn't require instructions, but they do come with the bench. It took me about 5 minutes to put together, which included taking all the pics.

I stood on it (150 lbs) and it seems sturdy enough. Overall, I would purchase this again if I needed another bench.

Okay WOW. I knew I'd love it the second I saw it, even before it was set up. The fabric is even more beautiful in person, I got the dark grey. It's very sturdy for being a foldable ottoman. Sturdy enough to sit on taking on and off shoes, but I don't think it would hold up if it was used as a seat regularly. I also think if you used this as an ottoman and always put your feat on it eventually, the fabric would "loosen up" and wrinkle but that's to be expected given the price. With all that being said this is perfect for what I need, a hallway bench. Beautiful, great quality, and great storage room!!

I am completely blown away by how nice this is! I bought it as a stop-gap solution, with the intent of upgrading to something else at tax time. Well, I think this one might be a permanent solution instead!
It’s nice looking and feels quite solid. Very spacious for storage and perfect height for use as an ottoman while sitting on the couch. It would be a perfect choice for use as a bench at the end of a bed (full or queen).

This Is a great storage bin. currently using as my hidden office. My laptop and files are nicely stored in here.
add a little Velcro on the inside and can stick pouches inside for small quick items like extra keys or such.
keeps your desk off the kitchen counter and neatly tucked away. Also no need to pack up if you're moving just leave everything

I had to return this well made ottoman because in my home colours the dark grey translated as looking like a jean material which didn't match. Otherwise, this ottoman was well made and for 60 bucks it was a win. I tried it in multiple rooms because I wanted to keep it so much. It is definitely worth the price - my house is Autumn colours with mostly black accents so it simply did not work. If it was carried in black I would have re ordered. If these colours go with your home- this is a sturdy, well made piece with considerable amount of storage and durability.

Bought this for my office cubicle - super happy with it! It looks great, and surprisingly very sturdy to sit on. I get so many compliments from colleagues. Perfect for sitting on when tying shoes and the storage space is A+.

The light grey is a woven variegated material.. really nice in my opinion. It looks very much like IKEA's "Isunda Grey" - google it to get an idea if you're unsure.

My only complaint is the height - I would love this even more if it was just a few inches taller.

I bought this ottoman to be used as a toy box for my 19 month old. And it is fantastic. So pretty and doubles as a second seat. It tripled as a way to keep her safe as it is positioned behind our couch where she loves to climb.
