How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2014This was a good book to read for my son years ago when he was first diagnosed. It explains things in terms that make him understand the situation instead of adults explaining it.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2007I liked the premise of the book, but I think the graphics could have been better. Also, I bought this for my daughter who is starting ADHD meds and she was not much interested in the car story.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2010Great tool for children with ADHD. It helps them understand the dynamics of taking medication for their symptoms. This is a useful tool.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2011This book is really cute... it's a fun and creative way to teach children about ADHD and meds. My only complaint is that it's a little wordy... I haven't read it to a child yet, but it started to lose my attention so I'm not sure how well it'll go over with a child, particularly one with ADHD.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2005Shortly after my middle son was diagnosed and given his meds the daily struggle on how to get him to take them began. Adding them to food did no good because he wouldn't eat it. Trying to get him to swallow was impossible as he would clamp his jaws shut.
I bought this book and we read it many times and he began to understand why he needed to take his medicine. That was almost 3 years ago and there are times he reminds me it's time to take his meds.
We gave the book to his psychiatrist when we were done with it.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2015I would give 0 stars if I could! Children do NOT need mind altering drugs! ADHD is a scam. Lots of times kids are bouncing off the walls because of excessive sugar or food dyes. And boys tend to be more active than girls. So much for drug free school zones!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2009Very effective. This book is great to help kids see that they are not alone, that its ok to just be who they are, and help is a matter of fact, not a big deal.
my son loves this book because he loves cars. may not be as effective for girls.
