The headline for this review is the best way I could put this movie in brief words. It is rushed, the plot is reminiscent of someone asking a child 'what should happen next', and ignoring them to place a redundant story on a downer with subpar acting. They pulled the old woman from Insidious and put her in a wheelchair then asked her to act like someone with literally no talent. They pulled the nanny from Paranormal Activity 2 and asked her to keep up the 'warning others from danger' but to do it in English. If you need some background noise -- I'd suggest listening to original Justin Beiber songs on a 10-hour loop instead. If you're a glutton for bad movies with no redeemable qualities what so ever... they'd still be better than this one.
Watched both this and the second one, Ouija: Origin of Evil. I thought both were great. I often don't watch movies involving Ouija as I have a strange sense about them in real life but these two movies were fun and horrific. I'm hoping that they end up selling them both as a set. Loved the very very ending, after the credits of Origin of Evil. Nice way to tie the two together.
Enjoyable horror flick that relies more on jump-out-and-scare-you tricks rather than tons of gore. Since it contains no nudity and little offensive language its a decent movie for a spooky sleepover or Halloween get together. The cast is believable, the soundtrack appropriately understated. I'd recommend it.
I have to say this was more enjoyable than the typical "Teenage Slasher Flick." It did have some scary moments and that actually surprised me. There where some slow spots where I had to put up with teenage social stuff and young love. I think it would be perfect for a bunch of fifteen to seventeen year old girls to watch during a sleep over. The last twenty or so minutes where scary and made me sit on the edge of my seat. I guess I was feeling a bit more vulnerable the night I watched it. It usually takes a lot more to scare me. I did watch it in the dark.
This film was just okay. It was fairly sophomoric and a little boring, though the overall plot was fine. It was not at all scary compared to other Ouija board films out there. But if you want to view a Ouija board themed film with very few scares, this one's for you.

I swear there have been an endless supply of movies called "Ouija" and this one seems to follow a close story line to all the other Ouija movies. Its fine to watch with friends once, but it isn't a movie I would go out of my way to watch again.
The movie arrived in excellent condition. The package was completely undamaged. The DVD is clean and scratch free. The movie itself is matter of opinion as to if it's good or not. It was a little scary the first time. Pretty good anyway. I recommend.

Ouija is about a teen girl who is killed after playing with a Ouija board. (it looks like suicide though) Her friends after finding the board try to contact her with it. Then after making contact it turns out that it isn't their friend but an evil entity. They are then haunted by the entity and attacked followed by some deaths. The Teens then fight to stop the entity. The end. This was absolutely atrocious from start to finish. Everything in this was seen it a million times before by the numbers cliches, except it was done worse than normal. Nothing in this was original, nothing terrifying or frightening, the story was bland the scrip was also, the acting as 2D and wooden as you can possibly get. Nothing hardly happens in this at all, hardly even any of the jump scares which so many lazy Hollywood Horror films rely on. It had evil entities which were in no way shape or form in the slightest bit scary or terrifying, just laughably boring. Even when people get killed off it was lame as lame can be. This is the rubbish horror being churned out now in Hollywood unoriginal, by the numbers tosh like this. It's even worse than other similar Hollywood films of the same unoriginality like Insidious, The Conjuring and Sinister. All three of these bang bang average, all of which I flogged after watching, but this makes those films look like masterpieces. I only recognized one of the cast Olivia Cook, who plays the main lead, and she has form in rubbish ghost story's as she appeared in the BBC's awful "The Secret of Crickley Hall" she should please move away from this stuff. I decided to give this a chance despite the bad reviews, and my wariness of Hollywood by the numbers churned out Horror, and I can say what a mistake because it's a waste of money, but I do like to give a film a chance and make my own opinion. The end feeling was like when you ride a really cheap Ghosthouse at a travelling fair and as you go through it has nothing in it except one or two rubbish looking models, and you think what was the point. So avoid if you have any sense. DREADFUL!!!

Oh dear, what utter rubbish. I shall not be getting that 1 and a 1/2 hours back. It is so bad I didn't realise that I already had a copy, that's how memorable this slow burning, nothing ever happens or ever did happen film is! Don't waste your time or money.
