Excerpt: Any citizen who supports using the force of Government to advance and impose Liberal ideals in contravention to the letter and spirit of our Constitution is an enemy of Liberty and an enemy of the republic.
This author is known for his Jeffersonian approach to politics, and pulls no punches in this hard hitting examination of the modern political state of the nation. The author contends that the nation is upon the precipice of ruin, where once stood the Roman Empire after Caesar crossed the Rubicon, and calls for the immediate return to traditional Jeffersonian principles to save the republic.

So what, some say, it's a " living Constitution ", meant to be interpreted at the whim of politicians and judges to suit the times. Wrong! Yes, the nation's founders recognized a need for change. So, they integrated a specific means for amendment of the document.
Sadly, we have largely ignored the Constitution and the restrictions the founders purposely imposed on government to protect liberty. We have allowed, even demanded, government grow with a correspondent loss of individual liberty .
Ironically, those who support the growth of government seem to be the most vociferous regarding " rights ." Their concept of "rights" generally involves having a right to the property or services of another person and demand the government take those properties and rights for redistribution to those who have not earned them. They delude themselves by saying their entitlements come from the government, ignoring the simple fact that those "entitlements" are ultimately paid for by the taxpayers. Politicians of both major political parties have exploited this selfish demand on government to accumulate excessive power.
The authors of Our Fathers Weep have carefully studied and accumulated the wisdom of the founders and shared it in this book. They show how the nation has strayed far from the Constitution and the limited government it described. They point out that the consequent bloated government, and our selfish reliance on it, is steadfastly eroding our liberty with imminent catastrophic consequences .
I notice that there are some derogatory reviews of this book. Their comments clearly indicate that they have not read the book, that they are either too lazy or too afraid of truth to read the book, that they have a false understanding of the Constitutionalist (Tea Party) movement, and that they are very likely among the selfish people mentioned above who demand the government take from the producers to redistribute to those who have earned nothing.
Everyone needs to read this book! It will not change the minds of the selfish or the power-hungry. But it will change the minds of those who, because they simply lack knowledge and understanding, currently favor big government over a constitutionally-limited government. That is why those with negative comments fear this book so fiercely!
The Tea Party WILL help put America back on her proper course, and this book is a modern treatise on patriotism and our founding principles.
Serious and no-holds-barred analysis provides the premise for how to crush liberalism and liberals - vote them out! Shun them! Do not hire them! Fire them if they are your employees! Liberalism, and the Liberals who seek to impose this tyranny upon us, are murdering the republic, and they should be treated accordingly.
The author points out that ours is not the first generation to face tyranny, and our Founding Fathers such as John and Sam Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Paul Revere knew how to deal with Un-American citizens in our midst.
Great book! I commend it to every Patriot.
A great book for patriots and anyone hoping to protect our individual rights. Parents, if your kids aren't learning the constitution in school, then buyt his book and make it dinner-time conversation.
