Mandel pens a heartwarming memoir about the ups and downs of raising dogs that readers can identify with "Our Fur Babies." Mandel and her husband enjoy having dogs. Their love for their pets shines though. It takes a big heart to raise special needs dogs, but Mandel and her husband, Paul, have a lot of love to give.
Each dog has a special story that proves interesting. The writing style is easy to read. I especially liked how the author shared her pictures and opened up about the challenges each dog presented.
"Our Fur Babies," is a very endearing memoir. If you enjoy pet stories, you'll appreciate the warmth and honesty in Mandel's writing. Two thumbs up for a delightful read.
Dog lovers will LOVE this story of all of Morgan and Paul's dogs through 30 years of marriage. Others who like dogs and appreciate them, will still love the story, but will have trouble identifying on a personal level--like me. I think I've learned to appreciate fur babies more in my later years through my daughter's rescue dogs. They do get to you--right straight to the heart.
I especially enjoyed the photos--nice touch, Morgan.
