After I read the series I had to go back and read it again now that I knew the characters. I do wish the songs were real, I'd love to hear them. There was a lot of detail about music writing that I found interesting too.
Overall, good book. I will read the next book in the series.
The author often ended a scene very abruptly. Occasionally, this helped keep a fast pace. Mostly, though, the transition was rough and confusing. There were many times I had to turn back and figure out what just happened.
I very much enjoyed this book and I will absolutely read the other books in this series.
