About the Author
Melissa Fondakowski is a writer and fundraising strategy consultant. In 2013, she received a degree in Psychiatry and Religion from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, and in 1997 an MFA from Mills College in Oakland, Calif. Her chapbook of poetry entitled Impatiens was chosen as the winner of the 2001 Sow’s Ear Review poetry chapbook competition and was published in 2002. Her book reviews, articles, poetry and fiction have appeared in several magazines and journals including Santa Clara Review, Curve Magazine, Lodestar Quarterly, and Many Mountains Moving, and she was nominated for a pushcart prize in 2008. Melissa’s fundraising writing has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle. Melissa also has a podcast called Sermonarian which is essentially a podcast about nothing.
