This has to be one of the finest cotton rope chairs available. Sit down and it surrounds and suspends you in over a mile of soft 100% natural cotton. Or if you really want to relax - kick back, stretch out, and recline as this single-point hammock extends over 7 feet.

We had this swing hanging from a tree in our back yard for a little over 2 years until it broke last week while our daughter was in it. She's only about 47 lbs. The ropes right below the silver ring where they join together and attach to the silver ring (above the wooden bar)unraveled and snapped dropping our daughter to the ground.
We live in California with a very mild climate, so weather extremes can't be blamed. I see there are other posts about the ropes breaking, so I think this is either poor materials or a design flaw in how it is attached to the metal ring at the top.
It seems to me it should have made it longer than 2 years so I really lean towards a design flaw as the problem. The fact that the ropes snapped w/o warning is also very distressing. We're lucky our daughter only ended up with bruised and scraped knees and palms - had she been mid-swing she could have bashed into the tree.
Buy this one with caution.
July 2014 Revision.... Rope chair still doing wonderfully. No tears, or rips, or problems of any kind. I have added two springs above the chair to the tree chain to give if more of a comfortable softness for swinging.
We've had it over a year now, used it ten plus hours per week and it's holding up fine. At this price I would have been happy with 6 months. My daughter loves it; for her it's a cross between a lounge and a swing. I'm 6'1" and I can sit comfortably in it, though it's true: an adult can't stretch out in it.
Just be sure to anchor it very securely.
