- Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2014Great quality, superb light output, uses a trickle of electricity. Those are the three things I can say you will experience from using this inexpensive LED outdoor flood light. I have purchased over 30 of these little lights to use in an outdoor lighting project. In case this review is seen by people looking for other versions of this product, I am commenting on the 10W Warm White version.
The light quality is what is most outstanding from this fixture. I would rate it as being 95% similar to the color you would see from a 100-watt halogen bulb. Some LED bulbs (especially earlier models) produced a cold, harsh light that made people and other objects look odd. The color of light made by this fixture is very pleasing and would work well in many outdoor environments. The light doesn't diffuse/spread from the fixture quite as much as with a halogen bulb, but it's adequate.
There are two negative features that I find with this fixture. First, the mounting bracket is rather flimsy. It's just a very thin-gauge metal "C". I realize the fixture doesn't weigh very much, so it doesn't really require a super-sturdy bracket. The other concern is the length of the power cord that comes out of it. While it was long enough for my uses, a slightly longer cord would probably help most people.
Other people have commented that this fixture is best left to be installed by a professional electrician. While I will never say to someone that having a pro do it is a bad idea, most homeowners should be easily able to handle the installation of this light. The only thing that some people might be confused by is that the power cord uses a different color scheme than most US-made fixtures. However, the power cord has a useful tag taped on it that shows how to match up the colors to what most American users are used to seeing.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2016The first thing I did with this light upon receiving it was to take it apart and smooth out the metal below the LED with my Dremel. It was very porous from the factory and combined with the poor heatsink grease application would have shortened the life of the LED. I then applied Arctic Silver heatskink grease liberally for a better heat transfer from the LED to the enclosure.
The light itself works great and after my fixes it should last a long time as it will run much cooler. I have a large backyard and this lights it up very nicely without hitting the neighbors house too much. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because 95% of the people who buy this won't open it up and spend an hour fixing it so it will probably burn up. In closing, this is a 5 star product if you do the necessary work to protect it's LED.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2015I replaced one of the 500 watt halogen units on my work light stand with one of these. Mounts nicely. Light temp is 3000 (on the warmer side).
No it,s not as much light as a 500w halogen, but when I'm working close to it, the 500 is too much. So I'm going to use one of these and a 20 or 30 on the other side. The 20 watt LEDs like this one a really bringht. I have one mounted on the wall.
Be aware, while this unit is 3000 degrees, the 20 watt unit is very cold and the 10 watt motion sensor unit that looks like this is also cold. They are definately above 4000. Might be 5000-6000. Not sure.
But they are tough and well made. I dropped the 20 watt unit about 8 ft onto concrete while installing with no problem. Works fine.
And they are dirt cheap to run. I was paying about $160/mo to light a 2000sqft work area with florescent. Haven't gotten my first bill yet, but with these it should be less then $30. They'll pay for themselves in one month is you use them a lot.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2015I really liked these even though I had to add my own plug. That was until it rained. I live in Florida and have the light on a timer for 4 hours per evening. First time it rained the clear glass lens completely shattered and then water shorted it out; so, basically dead after only 4 nights.
UPDATE: I purchased 9 of these lights. 3 have now failed (burned out). All were under 6 months old. Of the remaining 6 lights, 2 have water condensation indie the glass lense and 1 has a totally shattered glass sense although it still works. It's been shattered for over 2 months.
Never-the-less, I really like both the amount and warm color of these lights. Local Home stores only carry those ugly very garish blue white cool LED flood lights at high cost. So, for the price of these, I'll just expect some will not function well or for long.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2015These are very good while they last which is not very long. The firs set of two had to be replaced after 3 months. Contacted LE directly and the stood behind their product and sent me a replacement. Another one failed a couple months later. I have installed 6 20W and 6 10W. Now I'm ordering spares just in case. The only thing is that if these are for outdoors the screws shouldn't rust after 1 month!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2016LIGHTS ARE SUPPOOSED TO BE GUARENTEED FOR TWO YEARS. I BOUGHT ABOUT 30 OF THEM, ABOUT 6 BURNED OUT IN UNDER 1 YEAR. THEY ARE USED A COUPLE OF HOURS A DAY, MAYBE. eMAIL TO GET A REPLACEMENT IS HORRIBLE!! OUT OF COUNTRY RESPONSE FOR SURE!! THEY ARE REQUESTING THE ORIGINAL BOX! WHO DOES THIS?? THEN PICTURES OF THE LIGHTS, THEN TAKE APART THE LIGHTS TO SEE THE SERIAL NUMBERS ON THE INSIDE!! I LIKE THE LIGHTS WHEN THEY WORK BUT THEY DONT LAST AND GUARANTEE IS A JOKE.

Mr. BR CracknellReviewed in the United Kingdom on March 21, 20165.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
For this price you can't go wrong, the only issue is knowing exactly what you're getting. This floodlight will illuminate a path or could be used as good strong lighting over a workbench, I'm planning to set some up over mine. There are a couple of things you ought to know to manage your expectations: I would judge this light not to be a bright as a 100w 'traditional' bulb, probably more like 60-80w - it's a hard judgement to make as an old fashioned bulb gives out light in all directions this lamp is directional. Put this next to a 400w halogen floodlight and you'll hardly notice it's there, but it is only taking 10w. Secondly it has a very short cable attached, ridiculously short, it won't make it through a cavity wall, meaning you have to put in external junction fitings if used outside which will up the cost. I was sure I could replace the cables but it is not simple, I've uploaded some photos to show why. Your best bet is probably to joint the wire below the driver within the enclosure using Wago connectors, as there may not be room for a strip connector. My solution was to buy a separate PIR detector and mount two of these close enough to it to use the PIR as the junction box. The unit itself feels solid, is cast alloy and glass, and looks well proofed against the weather. To get picky the 'LE' and 'IP66' type looks good but the '10W' plonked in the middle will offend typographers everywhere. Not to end on a bad note, this is a solid device that will light your way for a good price.

NoqmarReviewed in Germany on June 17, 20165.0 out of 5 stars kleines Powerpaket

MR P A TAYLORReviewed in Canada on October 22, 20165.0 out of 5 stars Subtle flood lighting for my driveway.(Car port)
These slim lights arrived very quick, packaged well and work like a charm. They are direct wired with a european color scheme which is identified on the cable, Brown = Positive(black) Blue = Negative(white) and yellow green stripe = Earth(bare wire). Now that I have tried these I will go for more powerful ones for other areas of our property.
*** Update - I decided to use these in a car port area. I have three of them wired with a 3 way occupancy switch(Lutron brand) and a standard interrupter (Yes a standard switch, not a three way) and it works like a charm. The carport doubles as my workshop and as long as I'm in there, these lights give a good spread of bright light, causing very little shadow for when I'm working in the shop. It looks like the manufacturer has added a little to the cord length as well, as mine had about 18inches included and I had no problem reaching a nearby box.

IsmaeleReviewed in Italy on September 5, 20165.0 out of 5 stars Ottima illuminazione per il giardino
