Most deceptive ad. I ended up throwing ours away this morning (bought it five weeks ago for Mother's Day). It is most definitely NOT MADE OF BRONZE, and possibly the worst product I've purchased in the last 20 years.
This thing looks like it was made in a garage and likely won't last a single season.
It is primarily made of Home Depot quality plastic (read the ad carefully) with a hollow plastic base you're supposed to fill with water. Can't hold a towel in a light breeze without it, and it's too short anyway to hold a large size towel. Roughly $5 worth of plastic total in it, and should be sold for under $20. Looks like crap to boot.
Did I mention the water leaks out after a few minutes?
Go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and spend the $199 for a real metal one- yes they're overpriced- but at least you won't have to live with this embarrassment sitting next to your pool and getting laughed at daily as it falls over.
Had I seen it ( type of junk you'd expect to see at Walmart), I would not have been willing to pay more than 25$ for it.
It's not white, so it looks more sophisticated outside next to patio furniture.
There are 3 crossbars. You can push the bar so that you decide on the width on each side of the pole.
If you make 1 side really wide, then there will be nothing left on the other side. So then you only get 3 wide hanging places. If you make it about even, then you have 6, but you will have to fold towels in half.
It's not that bad, I just don't think the price is justified.
Oh, and the instructions are a joke too. It's a photocopy of original instructions corrected by hand by someone who tells you to put 2 screws. That makes it even cheaper.

Handy way to hang towels (wet and dry) at the pool (instead of wet towels thrown over everything). Stays upright but a little wobbly sometimes. (We filled the base with water.)Published 1 month ago by BillP
