Pros: Super easy to set up, lots of room, hole for cord is very convenient. I like the green.
Cons: gets a little wet inside, zipper is tricky - you'll need both hands as it keeps getting caught in the fabric, puddles of rain collect on the rain fly and if you're not careful it will fall on you! Take down was easy, but it was really hard to get it to fit back in its case. I couldn't get the rain fly in. Had to keep that separate.
It's really hard to rate this because even though the cons are pretty considerate, the pros are so good! I would recommend this tent - as long as you know what to expect. For example, I know now to bring extra towels to put on the floor where I know the drips are. And I know to be careful with the rain fly and not get soaked!
And I’m writing this because
I LOVE THIS TENT.
It pops right up in seconds flat!
Very roomy inside and excellent ventilation!
The rain fly works very well- be sure use the guide cords to pull it taunt. I pulled them straight down and tied them to the bottom of the poles. Worked great.
Huge thunderstorm last night and the never budge, everything still looks brand new!
The color is the best- personally dislike bright colored tents. Want my tent to blend in and this one looks like it grew here.
Super happy with my purchase.
- The ventilation is good.
- the seven foot is only the very bottom of the tent (the floor), so make sure your cot is short enough or else it will push out the sides of the tent. My fault for not thinking that through.
Review is after 1 camping trip. Will update review if anything changes.
I tried to upload an HEIC photo from my camping trip, but Amazon wouldn't take it.
I'm a 65 year old, petite lady. I remote camp alot and had alot of requirements. I had to be picky.
I'm a Bigfoot researcher and LOVE to camp. No crowded campgrounds for me. Gotta be out in the woods, by myself or with a few friends.
My Requirements: I needed something easy to put up, easy to take down, small enough to not be too bulky and take up too much space, small enough that I could easily handle at the end of a camping trip when I'm exhausted, large enough to set up my cot, potty and folding table and in cold weather, space enough for my Little Buddy Heater, as well as tall enough that I could stand up in. Bathtub floor was a requirement. Easy to put up rainfly. Hook for a camp light in the center. Net pockets for cell phone, Kindle or book and other items.
At a 'Reasonable Price'. Well, I couldn't get it all, but I got most. The price hurt - OUCH! Especially for a 4 Person Tent.
No net pockets inside for a cell phone, and other items. That knocked it down to 4 stars.
There is a loop outside the door to hang a light.
The single door is easy to work (so far), but I always carry a candle to run along the zipper just in case it decides to get stubborn. 2 zippers that you can either zip up halfway and meet in the middle, or only use one zipper to zip to the top so nosy raccoons won't come inside in the middle of the night.
But, it fulfilled all of my other requirements.
It didn't rain during my first camping trip, only a little drizzle, but it was fine and dry inside. No matter what, I spray the seams on every tent I own, anyway.
Any other issues that pop up, I will update this review.
