Searched and searched for a waterproof jacket for running. Stumbled across this one which seems to be a slightly less expensive version of the Outdoor Research Apollo jacket (in my opinion). I'm a pretty solid US women's size 16/18 with a 38C chest. I originally ordered the size 2XL (44-47.5") expecting it to be big enough to have room to wear a sweatshirt or sweater underneath. It was WAY big enough. In fact too big. I returned it and ordered the XL 16-18 (42.5-44.5") instead. It is perfect. The under arm vents are perfect for running so I don't get overheated. The adjustable hood is very handy to fit the hood better to my head. (Hoods always tend to fall down in my face but this one doesn't). The material feels pretty durable and the zippers are made to be waterproof, too. Maybe I didn't read the original description well enough, but I was pleasantly surprised to figure out that if you turn the left pocket inside-out, you can easily stuff the entire jacket in it and zip it up to be carried in a backpack. I LOVE this jacket and would recommend it to my running buddies. The ONLY thing I suggest is that you don't look at the size label when it comes. The original jacket I ordered was label as 2XL (as it was online, too). The replacement I ordered online was an XL, but when it came, it was labeled on the bag, retail tags and the sewn-in tag as 3XL. Yet, it was DEFINITELY smaller than the 2XL. So, don't get frustrated (like I did originally) if you order an XL and the tag says 3XL. Just go by the online order size and how it fits to you. I LOVE this jacket!!!

This is a very nice looking jacket. The length is great - covers the rear! The hood is deep and can be cinched closed to keep out the rain. The sizing is fine. I can't understand why there are so many comments about the jacket running too small. For reference: I am 5 ft 4 in. and 112 lbs. I usually wear XS or S. I chose the Small here. And it is perfect. In fact, I can wear a sweater underneath. The sleeves are long enough. The purple is a very good color for rainy days! The pockets are deep, there is an inside zippered pocket, too. And the straps to help compact the jacket are in one of the pockets. Seriously, what's not to like? I will certainly travel with this jacket.

I just received this jacket. It is of great quality as even the zipper pulls have little cloth "garages" to tuck into to keep rain out of the pockets. Very solid construction. There is an inner heavy mesh lining, so I think it would be a bit warm during the hot summer (say, August in Georgia - I wouldn't want to wear this in +80F degrees weather), but if you're looking for a good, solid wind/rain jacket I sincerely doubt this can be beat for temperatures lesser than that. I believe the sizes are meant for kids, as I ordered the largest 3X jacket and I still can't zip up the front. I'm a 5'10' and 230 lbs male. I bought this jacket for a homeless lady out front of our building and I'm hoping it fits her Ok, since she's approx. the same size as I.

I have received this jacket and am very pleased with it. I plan on using it when I go to New Zealand next month so I can’t give 5 stars because I haven’t used it yet. Believe it or not, Ohio weather has been beautiful so far this fall.
IMPORTANT- I ordered 2 sizes larger than I typically wear and it fits me perfect !!!
I’m 5’7” around 155 lbs and wear between a medium and large on top. I ordered a 2x and it’s just the right size to fit a sweater underneath.
It seems to be of quality material and I like the way the hood has additional adjustments to keep it in place & not blow off when windy. Like I said, I have not tried it in the rain just yet but will comment again after I do.

This is a terrific jacket at a great price. Would be impossible to find a jacket like this - truly waterproof with welded seams, multiple adjustment points, pockets galore, AND armpit zips - anywhere else at this price point. I tried more expensive jackets from several well-known, up-market brands, and ended up returning them as they lacked some feature that I found in this jacket. I'm keeping this is in two sizes (different colors) - one for regular wear that fits closer to body, and the next size up with looser fit to wear over a heavier layer in fall/winter. I have broad shoulders and find plenty of room and stretch across the upper back and shoulders so I can move freely even in the jacket with snugger fit. With three adjustment points, the hood stays put and has a bit of a visor so helpful if you wear glasses. Only feature that could bear improvement is that both the chest and interior zip pockets are too small for today's larger smartphones, but the two hip pockets are very large and will carry a phone, wallet, keys, and more. I also got a vest by same maker and love that, too!

Had this jacket with me in New Zealand and I'm very glad I did. It kept me bone dry during several downpours. The jacket does fit a bit small so I would recommend ordering a size up. If you want to wear a sweater or a heavier top, you definitely want a larger size then you normally wear. The jacket is waterproof and warm enough for cooler climates.

Perfect coat, but sleeves too short

I’m really upset this coat doesn’t fit me (serves way way way too short). This coat is really great and exact what I wanted. I am 5’11 160lbs bought size large. The sleeves do not reach my wrist bone at rest, and if I lift my arms to form a straight angle with me body, the sleeves are 2-3 inches away from the wrist bone. Just not something I can accept... design, fit, material (whisper quiet), pocket decisions are absolutely perfect.... I am really upset I cannot keep this coat. Please make it in tall sizes... I will try to find an equivalent of this coat in the guys department I guess. I ordered and returned 5 rain coats for different reasons (loud or not breathable material, awkward style etc)... this one has no flaws... well except sleeve length.
