Probably actually a zero degree bag or very close - great deal

Was looking for a budget down bag with high fill power. Because of the low price, I bought this fully expecting more like a 30 degree bag but it's probably actually pretty close to being a zero degree bag and pricewise beats the competition by a fair amount.

Testing: I took this bag out camping twice in low 40's weather. Zipped up - wayyy too hot. Unzipped - still too hot. Used as a loose quilt on an uninsulated inflatable pad with minimal clothing - barely bearable. Yea, you'll be comfortable at below freezing temps.

See this reference chart for loft & temp:[...]

Zero Degrees means 3" of loft and this bag generally meets the mark or comes close. Some of the baffles and nice and full and others could be fuller but even the skimpiest ones still give at least 2" Tried to take some pictures with background lighting to demonstrate.

I am not a sleeping bag expert but overall I am very satisfied with the purchase

I've used it three times above 11'000ft in the snow covered Rocky Mountains. It probably got to 10-15 F and I was nice and warm

Update:
A yea and a half in and its still going strong. It may have lost a little loft but not enough to notice. It is currently my go to bag or 3 season camping in Colorado. I've used it in multiple bivy and hammock sleeping systems.

Warmth & Comfort at an Unbeatable Price

This bag is awesome! It weighs 47 oz (I got the extra long version since I'm 6'4"), which is way lighter than my synthetic bag. I bought this bag for an early autumn backpacking trip to Glacier National Park where I expected cool temps but nothing like the blizzard that hit unexpectedly. Despite a foot of snow on the ground and temps in the low 20s, I was toasty in this bag. I fact I would recommend using this bag only when it drops below 20-25 degrees. I was real warm on the nights when it was above freezing. You can tell the bag is overstuffed with quality down just by feeling the loft. My backpacking companions had loft envy. Their synthetic bags (rated to 20 degrees) left them chilly each night and made their packs several lbs heavier than mine. I shopped for months trying to find a down bag for under $300 and couldn't find one until I lucked onto this gem. The price was right and the comfort is even righter (I know it's not a word but it works).

Worth the Money

Just did 5 days in The Smokies with this bag in the middle of November. Temperatures got down to 20 degrees, with 30 mile an hour winds. I was in a 3 season Kelty TN2 tent. Slept with longjons, no socks and the bag was completely closed up. It held up well, kept me nice and warm. For the price you can't beat this bag. If you need a lite more warmth get the liner. I would have gave it 5 stars but i need to see how it holds up.

*Bag is light for how warm it is.
*Cinches well.
*Down appears to be distributed evenly.
*Good for price.
*Bag is slightly shorter than I would have expected. I am 6'3" and I feel like the length is shorter than other 6'6" bags I have purchased. This being said, there is plenty of room especially on the side such that I do not feel claustrophobic, which is really nice!

I haven't used this in freezing Temps yet but did take it up for a weekend backpacking trip where the Temps were only just chilly. This bag is super lofty and comfy and I used it as a blanket because how warm it is. It compresses nice and easy and legit only ways less then 3.07 pounds. I'll update my review once Ive used it in colder temps!

I bought this light, down based sleeping bag specifically for my Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek - it didn't disappoint. I knew sleeping well was going to be a key success factor for reaching EBC. I live in Singapore, so I needed to prepare myself for the sub-zero nights. The Outdoor Vitals Summit sleep bag kept me warm and cosy - not once did the cold bother me (unlike some of my fellow trekkers who had 'rental' sleeping bags). The light weight was also crucial given we were only allowed to trek with 15kg for 9 days. A huge thank you to Tayson and his 'tribe' at Outdoor Vitals for making quality outdoor gear at affordable prices.

As a new hammock camper, I wanted to extend my season into the colder months. I could not justify several hundred dollars for top and bottom quilts. I came across the Outdoor Vitals 0 Degree sleeping bag and the Aerie 20 degree underquilt on youtube. I bought both for less than the cost of a underquilt. I could not be happier with both products.
