Product Description

This black bullet dummy camera is battery powered and features a blinking red LED. Batteries not included. This camera also comes with a rain cover that protects against weather. Dummy cameras look very real and common sense dictates that it is better to have a dummy security camera installed than no security at all.

A Good Fake!

Right out of the package this looks like a real camera. For $10 or so it's not a bad deal. It will do the job of fooling most would be perps. It even fooled our employees. One day the wind blew some items around on our store entrance. One of the employees thought that someone was messing with out business. They asked me if I saw anything on the "tape"! I didn't have the heart to tell them it was fake. The "camera" is make out of thin plastic and it is very fragile if you drop it. I had the cover off while installing it and accidently stepped on it. Naturally it snapped into pieces. The "wire" in the back is just a piece of rubber tubing, but if you place it into the little hole in the back, it appears like it is the camera's wiring. Installation was quick and painless. Just three screws, since it is very lightweight, you can get by with one or two screws.
The "infra-red" lights work well when it is dark. They seem to run on a light sensor and don't appear during daylight.

Overall a good buy for what it does. I bought an additional camera for another location. I also purchased from Amazon a sleeve of "WARNING CAMERA IN USE" stickers to compliment the illusion.

It Looks Incredibly Real - I wouldn't risk it if I were a burglar.

I looked at several faux cameras before settling on this one, and I purchased two to put on each side of the front of my house. It looks incredibly real. Friends and neighbors believe I have a CCTV system. The mounting was incredibly easy, and the fake cords add to the realistic effect, as does the glassy front with the infrared-looking bubbles behind the glass. The red light indicators have been steadily blinking since I connected mine. I know a lot of people commenting on these say that "real security cameras don't blink." Those people are what I like to call wrong. The whole point of having a security camera, real or not, is to deter theft and vandalism before the happen, not just catch the person on tape. So MANY cameras advertise the fact that they are working by blinking. If you look around, you will see this fact for yourself. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this product to anyone. Put in in a conspicuous location. Would-be burglars aren't going to wait around trying to figure out if it is real or not, if blinking means it's fake or real. They just move on to the next house, instead. It also comes with two CCTV stickers you can place on a storm door or window.

It got through the storm that took down massive trees on the property. It's looking really good. I bought this along with signs, so let's hope they keep the creeps away and I'll get more soon. Good quality and workmanship. ONE suggestion: do NOT bother with batteries since no REAL surveillance camera has a blinking red light! At least that's what the pros say. And make sure before you put it up, that you place the black "wire" attached to it, into the hole you'll notice in the back. That way it looks as if it is actually connected to wires inside the house. If you allow that wire to just float without being secure in that hole, it will look fake or at least disconnected. And tighten the nut once you have decided which way to point the camera. And it should be placed under an overhang since it needs the shelter from the harsher elements of storms and Winter. Good luck.

My sister wanted me to get her a fake security camera like mine. When I went to order it i realized I have had mine since June 15, 2016 and it looks and functions like the day I purchased it. It has held up beautifully through 4 hot hot Arizona summers. Needless to say I highly recommend it for several reasons: price, durability, functionality, real looking, easy to install and long battery life. Twice a year I change out the two AA batteries and use Windex to wipe off the top, shield and lens. Thanks for reading my review for an inexpensive, real looking "fake camera" that's built to last.

I bought two of these after reading all reviews and searching thru different types. They arrived early which was nice! They look realistic which is really nice. However they do not stand up on there own when held in the bolted position ( as seen in the picture). The camera just falls back down as if it would be pointed straight at the ground. Both I purchased, in two brand new boxes are this way. My father can most likely find a way to MacGyver them but in my opinion shouldn't have to do that. As they are now they will not point at all, let alone where I needed them to "view". Good if you want to defer criminals from a spot on the ground! ****JUMPED TO CONCLUSIONS****With zero directions I never would have found this! Without reading this I doubt you would either! There is a tiny knob on the bottom of the very front of the camera stand which twists to adjust the hold of the camera! Now I have ZERO COMPLAINTS!
