Outlasting the Gay Revolution: Where Homosexual Activism Is Really Going and How to Turn the Tide Hardcover – September 8, 2015
Purchase options and add-ons
The Houston mayor tried to subpoena sermons against homosexuality. The Mozilla CEO was fired for supporting a bill to uphold traditional marriage. HGTV canceled a new home-improvement show because of the Bible-based views of the show’s stars. From redefining marriage to dominating the culture, it appears that there is no stopping the gay activist agenda, but Dr. Brown boldly proclaims that the gay revolution is already a failure, containing within itself the seeds of self-destruction.
In Outlasting the Gay Revolution, Dr. Brown clearly spells out eight principles to help Americans with conservative moral values outlast the gay revolution: never compromise your convictions, take the high moral ground, cherish sexual purity, defend natural marriage, celebrate gender distinctions, propagate the truth, turn to God, and refuse to throw in the towel.
Dr. Brown’s words will fill every reader with fresh hope and courage, and while it looks like American society will never be the same again, that is not the end of the story. Gay activists will continue to overplay their hand, and most Americans will reject the tactics of these new bullies as our freedoms of religion, speech, and conscience come under increasing attack.
A society based on sexual anarchy, the deconstruction of gender, and the redefinition of marriage cannot survive and thrive. Regardless of what the courts might say (including the Supreme Court), the cultural battle is far from over. The rising attack on our freedoms has only awakened a sleeping giant, in which case the battle has barely begun.

Editorial Reviews
Review
"The Apostle Paul said we are to speak the truth in love. When it comes to the divisive issue of the homosexual agenda, Dr. Michael Brown exemplifies Paul’s exhortation. He points out that we should deal with the individuals with compassion while opposing the agenda with courage. Outlasting the Gay Revolution candidly addresses this burning issue of our time and gives positive steps on how to deal with it." — Jerry Newcombe, D.Min., cohost, senior producer, Kennedy Classics, author/co-author of 25 books
"What if much of the gay revolution has been built on misinformation and misperception? What if children, families and America are being harmed by the gay revolution? What if those unintended harms could be reversed with grace and truth? Dr. Michael Brown will stun you with insight in this revealing and inspiring book. He not only gives you a practical plan to make a difference for good, but reminds us that being on "the wrong side of history" is actually being on the right side of HIStory." — Dr. Frank Turek, author of I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist and Correct, Not Politically Correct
"In this remarkable book, Dr. Michael Brown reports on the“culture wars” with lucid, graphic clarity. He rigorously documents the complex issues driving the conflict. And more importantly, he calls Christians to hope and perseverance, and persuasively argues against caving in to pessimism. As Dr. Brown reminds us, the tired and tiresome appeal to “the right side of history” proves nothing. Rather, the question to ask is whether one is on the right side of God’s truth. In sum, this is an invaluable resource to understand these critical issues, and shows how God intervenes, and prevails, in the affairs of men." — Gary McCaleb, Chief Solicitor, Executive Vice President of Strategy Implementation, Alliance Defending Freedom
"Dr. Michael Brown’s upcoming book Outlasting The Gay Revolution: Where Homosexual Activism Is Really Going and How to Turn the Tide is a well-researched, much-needed, and timely book that exposes the real intentions of today’s homosexual movement—to take away the religious freedoms of Christians. . . . We must each step forward and never, never give up or bow to the homosexual agenda. Silence from Bible-believing Christians is what they want and that is something we must not be willing to give them. God expects more from us!" — Diane Gramley, president of the American Family Association of Pennsylvania
"Dr. Brown provides one of the most powerful, persuasive, and prophetic Christian voices worldwide. In Outlasting the Gay Revolution, Dr. Brown offers the perfect balance of Christ’s truth with His unending love. Dr. Brown fearlessly confronts, head on, the most pressing cultural issues of today with a fearless approach that leaves those in rebellion against God no wiggle room to rationalize. We are left understanding evil as evil and good as good." — Matt Barber, assoc. dean and law professor, Liberty University School of Law
"With compassion and courage, Dr. Michael Brown’s words sound a warning bell to the intrusion of gay activism on our religious liberties and first amendment rights. As a former homosexual and licensed mental health practitioner, the wisdom of Brown's principles should be heeded by the church and treasured in the faith-based community. Truly, Brown is the culture warrior of our time when it comes to issues surrounding sexual orientation." — Christopher Doyle, MA, LCPC Licensed clinical professional counselor, former homosexual, and founder of Voice of the Voiceless
"In his new book Dr. Michael Brown has again demonstrated his unique understanding of the causes, both political and spiritual, for the social earthquake the United States is currently experiencing and offers an inspired vision for how Christians can move forward with determination and hope. Outlasting the Gay Revolution is required reading for anyone concerned about the effects of sexual anarchy on our rising generation and where we go next." — David Clarke Pruden, MS, executive director, Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity

He provides a wealth of information, with real examples that point out the truth of the matter(s) as well as the 'rational-(lie)-zations' used by the Gay Activist movement.
Make no mistake - the smear campaigns are very real. Dr. Brown is not wrong in making his case in the LBGT being formerly bullied, have now become the BULLIES.
You don't need to read this book to see and understand what is going on in our culture and other parts of the world.
There is a lie that has been perpetuated by being repackaged over and over again.
And that lie this:
"All paths lead to God" in context of the book & subject matter, this is now the lie:
"All gender binaries/gender identities, & sexual preferences lead to love"
The crafty thing about that lie, is that by logical necessity MUST wage war with the firm ethical, moral, & spiritual values that the Bible believing Christian holds to.
This is more than a revolution, it's an active revolt against God & His people.
Dr. Brown calls the body of Christ to action, and rightly so. The church failed to act appropriately in unity to respond to the sexual revolution that took place decades ago. Pre-marital sex, divorce, pornography, broken families and like were just the beginning.
We are seeing and living in the aftermath of the apathy of the Church.
This is not to say that there were those who didn't try to make waves, there absolutely were - don't overlook that.
The battle for sexuality, the family unit, a God honoring government & society is indeed multi generational. Dr. Brown has the right perspective here, this is not an issue that will fade away in the next couple of years as a 'fad'.
I feel it is important to mention in my review, that when critics of Dr. Browns book default to throwing out the accusatory "hate speech" rhetoric that is truly characteristic of the Gay Activism movement - a cogent argument is not actually being made in saying that.
The observations made by Dr. Brown, are something that require dialogue.
Ad Hominem attacks do not change the nature of this issue, or the nature of the countless subsequent discussions to follow.
If you are a Christian, please take the call to arms in both this book and the Bible seriously.
Dr. Brown lays out eight principles that Christians should live by, encouraging us that although evil may be publicly celebrated today, in the end the truth will win out.
The book is written with love and compassion towards those in the LGBT community, yet makes it clear that Christians should not compromise the Word of God in order to preach a culturally-acceptable message.
The book also highlights how seeds of the LGBT activist movement contain their own destruction - at a certain point society will awaken to the social madness that we have bought into.
Very much recommended for all believers, and non-believers as well who are questioning what is going on with society and what is the truth regarding homosexual issues and activism.
There's too much information and encouragement to discuss in one short review (and I don't think that's the purpose of this opportunity to share my thoughts). The main thing I want to say is that, since the end of June, I was feeling exactly like the gloomy loser of an ongoing culture war, as described by Dr. Brown. Reading this book has really opened my eyes to the reality of God's promises and given me a loving plan for living out my deepest spiritual beliefs today and in the future.
"Outlasting the Gay Revolution" was obviously written and readied for publication before the Supreme Court ruling on same sex "marriage" or the splashy debut of Caitlyn Jenner. Perhaps it will be updated in future editions but that's not important because what Dr. Brown shares goes much further than just being a Christian reaction and response to one or two individual events.
It's a little embarrassing to admit this, but even with all the studying and praying I've done about past Christian revivals, I never understood until now that individual spiritual renewal movements are God's answer to what is going on at a particular time in history or in a particular part of the world. You might be going "Duh" but I honestly never "got it" before reading Dr. Brown's book. For me personally, it's a life-changing revelation. It's time to pray seriously for revival.

The book is not written for academics, and therefore should be accessible to most readers, sufficiently concerned about rapid societal changes - but it is, however, extensively referenced so the serious student will have no difficulty accessing the academic sources underpinning Brown's thesis.
Brown does a very good job highlighting the baseless nature of the changes imposed upon our culture by gay activism, but one might wish that he had explored in greater depth the essentially conflicting arguments utilised by the powerful, well-funded gay lobby over the last forty years or so ( it may be that he did so here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Queer-Thing-Happened-America-Strange/dp/0615406092/ref=la_B001IZVFFU_1_12?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1471788841&sr=1-12 ). One of the strengths of his treatment is the use of copious extracts from the writings of leading gay lobbyists, showing that Christian concerns about a 'slippery slope' (in relation to same-sex 'marriage') have in fact understated the reality on the ground, given that phenomena such as polyamory and polygamy were already implicit within the gay polemic, along with a fundamental opposition to monogamy. He demonstrates that 'truth' or 'scientific fact; were always an irrelevance to the advance of public acceptance of the new reality, which was based instead upon careful orchestration as well as effective control of the media.
The book does usefully introduce the reader to the new transgender debate, another sudden development within a culture where nothing we once believed about ourselves may safely be relied upon, based upon this kind of shifting polemic. Brown orders his subject-matter in eight principles, each of which break down the background and suggest how Christians ought appropriately to respond. And, for those of us who are concerned about a culture which is increasingly intolerant and apparently incapable of holding diverse opinions any longer, Brown encourages the reader by reminding us of the apparently unstoppable victory of revolutionary communism, early in the 20th Century.
Presentation-wise, the book is a lovely hardcover with good formatting, font, and layout. I found it riveting and read it in about a day and a half. Dr. Brown is not harsh or hateful, but I do doubt that it would be received well by someone who disagrees with the view he is defending. I found the book is designed more to bolster those who believe in the Bible's traditional teachings on gender and marriage than to change the opinions of those who disagree with Christian teachings.
