Good quality leather and stitching. I have never had a hot coal land on my chest; but if it were to happen, I would feel protected in this leather apron. Also protects my clothing from spills and has 2 nice deep pockets. It's not as heavy as it appears, so it's not a burden to wear it for a while.

I did not have an issue with the lower strap. I tie it in a loose square knot, which holds well and is not too difficult to untie to take off.

The top strap took a few minutes to figure out, but it has held ever since I got it tight. I just leave that one tied, and slip it on and off over my head.

I actually like the look and feel of the straps, but the loops for the top do leave something to be desired. Still, I was able to get it tied within just a few minutes and everything else about this apron more than makes up for that.

Great Apron, exactly what I wanted! Work fantastically, does not soil easily and protects from the mess and heat VERY well. It looks great, feels very nice and has a nice weight to it. I have only had it a month or so, have used it about 4 or 5 times and have received a compliment every time I have used it.

The Pocket on the front are perfect for my thermometer and some spices. (They also hold a beer quite nicely too, for those "I need an extra hand" moments)

I have not found leather grill gloves to match it but would really like a pair from the same company, made to go with this.

I bought one of these for my grill'n buddy. He thought this was a great idea. Then disaster came.
He lifted a tinfoil pan off his grill and caught the bottom on the side of the grill. The pan bottom ripped open and dumped a gallon of boiling grease/oil/fat down the front of his apron. The grease caught fire. That gave the rest of us dirty shorts as we scrambled to put that fire out. In the end this heavy duty leather apron saved our friend from a nasty burn and a spoiled BBQ. Not a single burn on him. Lost the BBQ to the ground but had our friend around for beer drinking that evening.

You wear protection for that reason. This is heavy duty, solid, protective and being worn by myself and friends anytime we fire up the grills.

This is a very well made grill apron with enough thickness that if you get up against something hot, you won't get burned. It also has an adjustable neck collar so you can adjust the height of it on you for a more custom fit I am highly impressed with the quality and heaviness of my new apron. We bought the Blackstone 36 inch outdoor griddle and this is the perfect compliment to go with it! The nice added touch is the pockets!!! I am sure it would also be nice for glass workers or anyone working around a kiln. Now if it will just stop raining so I can use it!!! :)

This apron is made well enough. It's cotton with a light canvas feel, all the pockets are double-stitched, and the perimeter of the apron is single-stitched. The bottom pocket is roomy, while the top two will accommodate something slim. The sewn-on strap is securely attached, and that's where I tend to drape a hand towel while I'm cooking.

The grommets are sturdy and the straps are robust, though there is nothing preventing the straps from slipping out of the bottom grommets. The crisscross feature makes for a comfortable fit, and the apron can essentially be positioned however you like. For me, it sits at the top of my breast pockets and just above my knees, and I'm 6'2". Please note, unless you have a small frame the straps aren't long enough to tie them off at the front of the body, if that's important to you. Overall, it's a pretty good apron.

I think a cross-back apron is a must for anyone that needs an apron for long periods of time. The type of apron that goes around your neck puts all the weight where your nerves are and eventually it will give you headaches, neck pain and shoulder pain. This design totally eliminates that and makes this apron comfortable all day. The camouflage pattern is certainly appealing and I think most men would like it (maybe women too?). I have other similar aprons but they are finished a bit better. This one just has plain strings where the other one I have has metal string stops on the ends like on shoelaces. Also my other apron has lock clasps at the top front corner where this just ties on. Not quite as nice.

A very nice apron that isn't feminine looking (like many aprons). It has useful pockets and even a loop to hang your tongs or a cloth. My only issue with this apron is that it crosses over at the back and is therefore a bit more tricky to put on than your average apron. Nevertheless, a great quality apron.
