The process is a tad boring. I thought maybe it would be more like Logo, but in this game it's one question per turn with no steals. We thought about just playing it our own way and extending each turn, but the path from start to finish is not very long and the game could be over in just a few turns if we did that.
We enjoyed the game and will play it again. It's a great way to learn some U.S. history, geography, and general knowledge while spending time with family. It definitely sparked a few conversations for us, which was fun.
So, Christmas dinner is in the oven, we've had a lovely day opening presents, and it is time for the game. The reviews were good and the rules are simple and quick to read. I excitedly talked about how much fun we were going to have.
Then we started to play. This game is terrible. The questions, for the most part, are rather obscure. Nobody was having any fun! Finally we decided to use the kids' level and were able to end the game. I plan to give this game to one of the history teachers and hope he enjoys it with the AP students!
