The seed packet says these germinate in 2-3 weeks, but here it is the morning of day 7 and I have tiny seedlings! Of the four different seeds I ordered from Outside Pride this time (Irish Moss, Creeping Thyme, Eidelweiss, Sedum), only the Irish Moss has yet to germinate. I'm not using grow lights. I am putting them out in the morning sun around 8am. If it's a hot, sunny day, I move them into the shade before noon. If it's overcast, I leave them. I bring them in around 5-6 pm when it starts getting cool. So far so good!
I didn't count either the seeds in the packet or how many I planted, so I can't comment on the germination rate. I'm just trying a six-pack at a time due to my lack of green thumb.
My order arrived promptly (2-3 days). I love Outside Pride and usually order directly from their website. You can sometimes find coupon codes on their Facebook page. This time I ordered soil and other seeds from other vendors, so it was convenient to add these to my cart. Highly recommended.
Photos are from this morning, day 7.
I measured my area and made sure it was under the recommended size, however the spread did not cover everywhere very thickly,
It was sparse although uniform coverage.
I used the flour and sifter method to spread, it spreads really nicely even.
I am not sure but it seems there were alot of clover growing in with my thyme, unlike other seeded area which I planted at the same time and did not show clover. It is possible their seeds are harvested along with clover....which is very difficult to weed out.
As matter of perspective a normal seed pack of thyme used for cooking is about 250 seeds.

None of the product germinated even after following all of the instructions. Bought $450 of seed from this seller with maybe 20% seeing results. Read morePublished 1 month ago by JRS
Refused to grow despite following instructions. Soil was prefect and other ground cover grew just fine but not these.Published 1 month ago by James
