The Outsider Chronicles is truly the work of a gifted writer and I cannot wait to get my hands on Book 4. -- (FIVE STARS) Readers' Favorite

About the Author

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Kayti Nika Raet moved down South when she was 11, where she was bitten by the writing bug, as well as other, less friendly insects.
She is the author of the Outsider Chronicles, a five book series starting with NIKO and set in a world where the rain burns like acid and flesh eating monsters roam.
She's also a reviewer for Readers' Favorite and has her own Youtube Channel: Kayti Edition.
When she is not hard at work on her fourth book she has fun reading, listening to K-pop, and photography.
Kayti lives in Milledgeville, Georgia.

This series just keeps getting better and better. The best line was the last line "A storm's coming". I can't get over how in love with characters I am. Niko has changed dramatically since the first book. She is becoming more vulnerable and open. Her brother Jared is beginning to lower his mask as well. We get to learn more about Ben and his family dynamic. We get introduced to a new character Alice who you love to hate. This series is amazing. I have enjoyed every page of it. I can't wait to start the next book. A big thanks to author for developing this great story.

Just like the first two books, Raet has kept Outsider fast-paced, thrilling and engaging. As Niko enters the city to work as a Gray man along with Songhay, it isn't long before Niko discovers how exactly it is that the cities keep the gray men so docile and unaware, or uncaring of the dangers around them.

Niko quickly finds herself in trouble, again, once her failure to be a conforming and docile gray man is discovered. Ben sweeps in for the rescue and with some help, Niko is now a 'visitor' to the city, and no longer Niko, the wanted slither killer or the gray man.

While Niko, Ben, Jared team up with the Gemini gang to take control of the cities water, Songhay is working on giving the gray men back their minds and free will.

During this book, the character development is a great expansion of the first two books and remains consistent. Ben and Niko's relationship begins to develops into a more serious one all while Niko struggles with her feelings for Songhay. Raet has done an amazing job creating a love triangle that is realistic and powerful. At times, I find myself voting for Ben and more often than not, I would like to see Niko end up with Songhay.

Great job on book three! I immediately picked up book 4 to continue the story.

Outsider is even better than the first one, which is saying a lot. I've read all four (and I'm eagerly waiting for the fifth to be released). And this was one was the best. It was full of #TeamBen. All characters were great. And the pacing was on point.
