I love my tennis balls. When mom brought this thing out and started dropping the ball in it, clearly there was only one thing to do....prevent mom from dropping the ball into it. But she persisted, after all, she IS mom. Failing prevention of the problem, there was only course of action left....rip the doors off the dang thing. Problem solved in under 3 minutes.

This toy is great, and it provides lots of time with them trying to figure out how to get the ball. However, the tree part needs to be heavier. I have to hold it down for them to figure out how to get the ball out. My dogs are strong and easily knock it over trying to get the ball, defeating the purpose of the toy because it then falls out defeating the purpose of the toy. I would recommend it to smaller dogs.

My Australian Shepherd LOVES tennis balls. Since he is so highly motivated by them, I thought he would really enjoy playing with the Mystery Tree. I was right and it didn't take him long to figure out the game. Although he is very gentle while playing, the tree limb gate popped off immediately after it was lifted to get the ball, so I put it back on. Then the side to side blue gate popped off while Winchester was pushing it to the side to release the ball, so I reattached that. The last door to be opened broke plastic part off when Winchester lifted it to get the ball. I couldn't reattach this door to the tree, so we played using only the first two openings while using my hand to block the ball from exiting through the broken door. As he continued to play, the same issues occurred each time Winchester attempted to get the ball from the other two openings. The Mystery Tree game has a great concept. My dog LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it!!! I am giving this a two star rating because of the excellent concept but the quality and craftsmanship are pathetic. It's made from thin cheap plastic and the gates / doors need to be attached in a better way. If this was made with high quality material (maybe wood with metal hardware for example) I would be willing to pay a higher price to purchase one for Winchester, because he loves it. As for this one piece of junk, it will be returned. I do not recommend this purchase to anyone.

The way its put together is really dissapointing! Every time the dog bumps it, it falls apart! For the first day it was a blast! But after that, well its me picking up all the peaces and putting it back together! I spend more time with this toy than my dog! Bummer!!!

My Yorkie can't get enough. He is a bit short to drop the ball in the top himself, but he shoves it back in side through one of the doors when playing by himself. Not sure about the durability of the hinges for a big dog.

I have a black lab that is fairly average. I put the ball in and he could get it out easy enough but being so large he also broke the side door off. A few days later he broke the other side door. Only the blue door held so in about a week it was useless

My dog has not wrecked it, although she has knocked two of the doors off (they reattach easily enough). It is not a spellbinding toy for my dog. If the tennis ball were a treat ball, she would pay more attention. In fact I cut a hole in a tennis ball and stuff a few treats in it and that helps. The toy is light weight so it gets pushed around a lot as she tries to open a door. If she were rougher with toys it would probably have broken by now. All-in-all it's ok but nothing to write home about.

So disappointing. I was so excited to have my dog play with this tree, but it's so light that you can just push it around the floor. It needs some sort of weight or anchoring so the dog cannot easily push it around. This makes it hard for them to learn how to use it if they're mostly just frustrated it moves all over the place. Also two if the doors broke really easily and my dog wasn't being close to rough. Great concept, poor execution.
