My wife and I decided to get this product because she has problems tolerating different types of contraceptive pills. No of the other contraceptive methods seemed adequate for us, so we decided to investigate further into the OvaCue as a contraceptive tool. It is not approved by the FDA as a contraceptive method, but, and this is a big BUT, it was designed to pinpoint your exact ovulation day, soooo, if you know that with an extremely high accuracy, then you know when NOT to have sex, using natural family planning methods. The only thing I've noticed is that if you're not regular, it will still work for you, but it might confuse you. You have to manually put in your average cycle length, so it will first calculate your ovulation day with this info. But, when it first reads the "CUE", then it automatically adjusts the ovulation day. And if your current cycle is longer then the average cycle length, then you'll have more days of no unprotected sex. Other than that, it has worked like a charm. Horray for technology!!
