I love these things! They are so handy for hanging clothes to dry in my laundry room. Warning - Don't overload them or hang very heavy wet sweaters, pants or hoodies to dry, as they will break. I broke one and won't make that mistake again. But for regular weight shirts and blouses that you like to hang dry, they are perfect.

I've had this door hanger for a few months now, and it seems to be holding up well. I must admit I haven't put really heavy things like thick coats because that's not the reason I bought it for, and it does not look strong enough for those. Instead, I use it for hanging shirts I have ironed, or shirts/light fleece jackets which are damp and which I want to just air dry. I also like that I can adjust the door-holder part to be narrower for hanging it on indoor doors, or wider for outside doors; and that I can drop it to lie flat against the door when not in use, thus avoiding damage to a wall. The 4 stars instead of 5 is because it does not feel very strong, so don't try hanging heavy coats on it. Otherwise, it works fine for the purpose I bought it for.

Wow this thing. It's very light and not sturdy at all. One spacer is not enough to hang over a closet door, but when you have both on it loses a lot of traction and can't even stay in place. If I'm going to be hanging dress shirts or light jackets on this I can't have it moving all over the door like that.

We had been looking for some sort of folding or retractable drying system for our laundry room. For $30+ there are all sorts of solutions that are big and bulky, and require you to mount on the wall or take up floor space. I ran across these while searching for other setups and thought we would give them a try. The Over-The-Door Wonder Hangers worked perfectly for us. We know let items finish air drying (sweaters / pants) without taking up any floor space or having to get some contraption out while we are doing laundry. Worked perfectly for us, and was a very inexpensive solution.

It broke after 6 weeks

I purchased this over-door hanger on August 4, and on Sept. 15 it broke. At the time it broke there was one empty coat hanger on it, and one hanger with a Polo t-shirt on it. When the t-shirt was put on the over-door hanger, it snapped off where the plastic is. The part that holds it on the door is metal, and where the metal meets the plastic is where it broke. There was no abuse of the item, never more than three hangers on it, never more than three t-shirts hanging on it at one time. Summer t-shirts, not heavy winter sweatshirts or hoodies...just regular old t-shirts.

Maybe they send you two of these in case one snaps. At any rate, I would not buy this again, nor would I recommend others buy it. Before it broke, I really liked it; it worked just fine and met our needs very well.

Great product for the price. We have a small place with one closet, so this is handy for extra hanging space, I also use it to dry clothes that I don't want to dry in the dryer. It takes up much less space than a floor rack. One broke because I had too many heavy coats on them, so be careful not to load them too much. Would buy again.

Just got these, and they work perfectly. The long piece with the hanger slots is indeed plastic, but the part that goes over the door is metal (painted white). The back of the hook (behind the door) is 2.75" long, so the hook holds well even when the door is open. The top of the hook (that goes over the door) is 1/16 inch thick metal, so it works even when the door frame is quite close to the top of the door. They seem very sturdy. I don't need to hang more than 20 lbs. (the rated weight they will support). I'm happy!
