but just the a good orchestra the final product was beautifully composed. If you're looking for a fun, humorous and simple book, I strongly suggest you take a look at Zig's Success for Dummies first, before buying this one. If you have one you do not need the other. The reason I like SFD better is because it combines his books See you at the Top and this one together.
Ziglar talks about seeing one's self in the mind's eye as a prelude to accomplishment. "I dreamed overy forty years ago that I would be traveling the world, making speeches to every conceivalbe kind of group. I literally saw myself in front of vast audiences making those talks," he tells us.
On feeding success mentally, he reminds us of the necessity to surround ourselves with people who are going to edify us. He adds, "read good books." This is one such good book. Read it!
He also goes into changing jobs and being positive. Like when you talk about your job you say "I work for xyz company, and let me tell you about this great guy I work for". As opposed to "Man that guy never liked me and they keep taking benefits away". This may seem like common sense, but i like the fact that Mr Ziglar examines a fact that many business leaders don't want to admit. Bosses know when they are shafting you but don't want to hear it ( 90% of the time)even if they ask for input. An interviewer knows that if you loved your job you would probably not be leaving, so you need a good exuse, such as no further room for growth, needing a new challenge, or relocating if the 2 companies are far enough apart.
One final point about the book i would like to make is this. Mr. Ziglar gives a bonus in this book. He tells you the one book that just about every single one of the CEO's of the top companies in the country have read. This book is the bible. I like the fact that in today's politically correct society that we live in that there is a author that seems the love and faith in god as paramount to someone's success. A nice statistic is that 80% of the CEO's of those same companies admit to being either christian or jewish. A faith in the man upstairs can definatly be beneficial to your carrear. Happy reading and God bless you and God bless America
