I would definitely evaluate the size of bag you need before purchasing. The 40L bag I got because I needed something to hold my: Hammock, tarp, ground stakes, cordage, knives, food, canteens, bug spray, fire starting materials, snacks, shirt/pants/shoes/socks, poncho, camera, and some other goodies. Sorry for the laundry list but this bag really does hold a great bit of stuff. Keep in mind the bag only rolls down so far, so if you do not have a lot of items to place into the bag then go smaller. Also, the dimensions of this are large so you need to have a good place to put it.
I'm sure it's great for packing a large amount of gear in.
It's constructed well. The material is VERY rigid (which I don't like).
I bought this for light use packing a towel, small snacks, and shorts. Way too much room for this amount of items. I should have gone with a 10-liter but it's very difficult to tell sizes.
I would recommend this to someone as long as they are better at gauging size than I am.
I purchased a 5-liter Storm sack that is made of a much lighter weight material. Ended up being too small for my needs but I prefer the material of the Storm sack over this bag.
