It would appear that either Amazon or the publisher elected to do an electronic "dump" of the original book, making no effort to remove or correct the debris that resulted from the conversion. The result is a wretched product, a raw text with myriads of inappropriate line breaks, control characters, and footnote numbers that are run into the narrative. These are not linked to actual footnote text because all the footnotes have been lopped off the volume.

What good is a research work without its footnotes? Not much.

I enjoy the history of the program. Where we all come from and where we are going. This book has answered many of those questions and reminds us why the primary. Purpose has to stay strong.
