Oximeter #3. Kept saying my SATS were 80, 81 the took on my OTHER new one that I was going to return but decided to keep..says 98, 99. Even on my 19 year old son the comparison was huge. Not accurate! This return was also supposed to be a pick up and no one ever came to pick up so now gotta drive to ups to drop off. Pain.

Screen fell off

I purchased this to use in nursing school. The semester starts in August and it’s useless now. The plastic screen detached from the pulse ox . I had the unit in a bag that’s rarely opened or moved so I’m not sure how this happened.The adhesive was not strong enough to keep it attached . I’ll upload a picture soon.

SEcond Metene pulse oxymeter is not as good as the first

I wanted a second pulse oxymeter for my house, and tried to order the same one I have now, which seems to work fine. What came is NOT the same as the first, it has no easy way to attach a lanyard and did not come with a carrying case . It seems to work the same, takes the same batteries, and has a recognizable display, but it will be MUCH harder to use. I'm quite disappointed, but as with so much else, was made in China.

is compact, easy to use. nicely packaged, good instructions. it is not as accurate as I would like. when compared to another pulse ox meter and B/P cuff, the numbers are always off. pulse rate is always lower than manual count by at least 10-17 beats per minute.

Bargain compared to drug stores

This is half or a third of the price of most of these you would buy at a local drug store, which seems to be the same quality as this no name Chinese version. Be careful not to drop it as it is somewhat fragile plastic.
The accuracy seems good for a basic assessment. The sample rate is a little slow so the numbers can jump around if you have any variability in yourself. My numbers are very consistent, bouncing around 95-98, but my wife who is a long haul Covid patient with Ox drops into the 80s if she exerts herself has a harder time telling what is the misreading or what is any actual drop, as they don't feel different. I then take mine to see if the numbers are bouncing for me as well and they are not, so it seems that it is pretty accurate.

As I suffer from COPD I need to check my saturation daily. For this purpose I ordered: Metene Pulse Oximeter Fingertip, Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor with Accurate Fast Spot Read.
After I got it I opened it as described in the manual and checked my saturation.
Normally after taking my inhaler in the morning, my saturation level during evening hours is between 97 and 98. Not perfect but acceptable. I was shocked to see that my saturation level was 68! I checked again it was 66. I shut down the device, replaced the batteries and checked again: 66.
At this point we decided to rush to the emergency room, despite my normal breathing. At the ER my saturation was 97!. It was checked again and it remained at 97.
Since I got another device and my saturation level shows at normal levels between 96 and 98.
Just let me please know to whom to send the Metene Pulse Oximeter Fingertip!
As for me it is USELESS.
