Product Description

The Concord digital fingertip pulse oximeter uses advanced technology to monitor SpO2 (blood oxygen) - and heart pulse rate (PR) via a large bright red perfusion LED display which allows you to read in the dark or bright light. It runs up to 30 hours on a single set of AAA batteries and shuts off automatically after eight seconds to avoid unnecessary draining. It has a low battery indicator so you can replace the batteries ahead of time.

For fast, convenient monitoring of blood oxygen saturation, it is tough to beat this well-designed fingertip oximeter. This portable oximeter includes a comfortable lanyard that allows you to keep it close at all times. There's also a sturdy case that keeps it safe while it's being transported. Its shock resistant rubber cover protects it from damage to ensure that it lasts for many years to come. It will arrive in a reusable foam-padded box that can be used to keep it out of harm's way when it needs to be stored. Because it comes with a two-year warranty and 100% Money Back Guarantee you can purchase it with confidence. Perfect for sports/aviation use and not intended for medical.

I work in a busy ER, and most of the staff carry our own pulse oximeters to save having to hunt one down. I bought this because of the reasonable price, and I've been... reasonably satisfied with it.

The most important thing: it is, under ideal conditions, accurate. As in, I've checked its calibration using the same tool we use to do so with our facility oximeters and it reads correctly... eventually. If your finger is very warm, and you don't move too much.

The downsides: in less than ideal conditions, it's often finicky. If the finger is too cool, or the patient is fidgeting, it often won't read at all, or will ready with inaccurate wildly low results (I've had it tell me my pulse was 30, while I'm checking my pulse manually and it's actually in the 70s). It's also relatively slow compared with even the other commercial models my coworkers use. If you leave it on long enough you will eventually get an accurate reading, but it may take a minute or more, especially if your hands are chilly or you have circulatory issues. It does have a little set of bars that light up, in theory, to show that it's reading SOMETHING before it gives you a result, but sometimes they will light up for a while and then it will shut off without giving a reading (automatic shutoff when it doesn't read a pulse is a nice feature to save battery, but frustrating if you put it on a patient with chilly fingers to read their O2 while you do another assessment and don't realize right away that it has shut itself off and isn't even trying).

Thank you...works fine...it is just what I wanted...Shows my oxygen level in less than 4 seconds. Then goes up or down every other second. And also shows my heart beat which is good. And I received it within a few working days.

I'm a nurse in a tele/cardiac step down unit and honestly I'm not really satisfied with the product. I had really high expectations considering the large amt of positive reviews it has received. However, I haven't had the best experience; I feel like this concord pulse ox is good to have rather than none but in comparison with some of the one's my coworkers have is kind of disappointing. It takes a long time to read...even on the indicated finger and "warm hands"...I need a pulse ox that I can depend on and trust and to be honest I just can't trust it....

I am an RN and I have actually purchased 2 of these items, one for my own use and another for a friend who has emphysema.
He uses it to tell him when he needs to put his oxygen back on and when it is safe to take it off for a while. I find this item
to be reliable and rugged enough to take a little tossing around, not that you should do that. I would not hesitate to recommend
this unit to anyone.

I bought this for my father who has pulmonary silicosis and has resisted oxygen therapy for years despite his low SpO2. Because my parents really enjoy summers in the mountains away from the desert heat, they were unable to enjoy their retreat due to his worsening condition. Now that he is on oxygen, the pulse oximeter gives him feedback on how the low oxygen tension at higher altitudes contributes to his malaise and allows mim to make needed adjustments in activity or oxygen flow. He is doing better and enjoying the mountains a little better. This technology has been very easy for my parents to use. They have become experts in the oxygen management and their quality of life may be a little better.

As an RN working in home health and previously in ICU, I depend on an accurate pulse ox every day. I carried around a bulky wired $350 pulse ox for the first 2 years & was very disappointed in battery life and accuracy. This little pulse ox is awesome. It accurately measures COPD patients (compared to their Nonin pulse ox), has a prompt response time, & even gave an accurate reading on a Ca patient who had just come out of the hospital & had difficulty with getting the pulse ox to read the whole time he was in. A huge benefit is the prompt auto-off within seconds - great battery saver. I couldn't be more pleased & I'm delighted with the 2 year warranty for any future issues!

I am a little disappointed with this product. I work in a hospital and use it in my daily rounds. It does not work on low perfussion patients (COPD,Asthma, congestive heart failure), also takes quite a few additional seconds to read on a patient having no perfussion problems. Some reviews stated they use it in clinical settings, and works great. This may be true. In a hospital setting it is not a product that I can count on to work with a variety of patients. I will be sending this product back to the company.
