I love how they come in three individual packs. I have lost a lot of absorbers because I have to open them up often, which makes them go bad fast. I don't have to worry about that anymore. Each pack comes with the little freshness pill, and a little sheet of paper that indicates their freshness.
I will be back for these. This store also ships very fast, which was great since I was needing them quickly.
I recommend these to anyone!
I really couldn't be happier with my first effort at canning beans, flour, oatmeal, coffee beans, etc... I've incorporated the Oxy-Sorb with a FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer. I know the Oxy-Sorb works as some of my older Ball jars have rims that are too thick for the FoodSaver to seal a lid to. I know some people just ad the Oxy-Sorb and that creates a seal so I tried with the older Ball jars and it seams to work just fine. I added one Oxy-Sorb per old Ball jar, placed the metal ring on and they were sealed within a few hours. Couldn't be better and I have piece of mind with the other jars that did seal will stay sealed with this product. Getting ready to order another batch now.
Oh yes, it is nice that they come in bags of twenty so I don't have too many out at once. A quick tip, that all of you may know, that I learned from Youtube was to just put any leftovers in an empty mason jar and vacuum seal it with my FoodSaver. Now I won't loose any and I always have some ready, even if I just need one or two.
I would suggest obtaining your O2 absorbers from another source. I don't know where Amazon got thees things from but they are worse than used. They feel like they are fine making you think they are fine but they are not! They are inert. Even the pink eye indicator is inert. What's up with that?
Once the bag is open it starts the oxygen absorbsion process, and the little indicator disc changes colors and the whole bag heats up as it reacts with the oxygen. (the process stopped once I re-vacuum-sealed the bag)
So be advised, have your work ready before you open the bag.
Take what you need out, re-vacuum-seal the bag, and then use the product you removed quickly.
You may want to consider getting a vacuum canister to store them in. That way you can open and close at will.
