From the Back Cover

Come and rest in the presence of God Life is full of demands. Work, family, church--all the good, yet exhausting things that clamor for your attention. You may wonder: Is this the abundant life Jesus promised? Oxygen is the perfect guide to help you deepen your walk with Christ. In it, you will discover practices that will help you develop your relationship with the One who loves you the most. These simple, time-tested practices have been part of the Christian tradition for centuries. Oxygen shows you how to put them to work in your life and faith. You'll learn • that doing is not always as pleasing to God as being with him • how to spend time in solitude • how to journal and pray • how to listen to what God is saying to you Through the exercises in this book, you'll be abundantly equipped to calmly and capably meet the demands of life. But it all starts when you learn to breathe. Come and explore how! "Put away that frantic feeling of 'this is one more thing I have to do.' Format: Paperback
In Oxygen, Keri guides us on an intimate walk, a slow, deliberate, enlightening, delicious walk with Jesus. She says take your time through her book, and she's right. She ministers best to us as we're together unhurried, coffee in hand, Lord in heart. Her weekly stops in the life of Jesus remind us of His deep love and how much He craves our quiet presence - and how much we need it. In the study and embrace of selected days of His life, we find ourselves somewhere in every encounter, and Keri's tender insight into applying Jesus' words and actions long ago to us today is a blessing. Keri offers delightful slivers of wisdom and deep compassion for where we are in our lives, all of us - with challenges to face and wholly dependent on our Savior, as it should be.

This is an amazing book. It's not a devotional, it's a journey. You read a story in the Bible over and over with different exercises that include journaling, meditating on the scripture, and being in the scene with Jesus. Through these exercises you really feel the love that Jesus has for you. I have never read anything like it. It's just a peaceful and very spiritual journey through the New Testament. It is not a book to be rushed through. It is a book to move at your own pace. The author gives permission to move slowly without hurrying which I think is brilliant and personally helped me to gently move through this book instead of speed read it. It really is oxygen for the soul.

This is a wonderful book. I want to buy it for everyone I know. It frames your devotional time with God with the idea of freedom in Christ. It provides a framework for meaningful time with God reflecting on His word and allowing him to transform you from the inside out. It is not just another book about reading scripture and thinking about a few question. This book takes scripture and helps you internalize it, reflect on it in a new way and helps you create space to let the living word of God truly live in you. I highly recommend this book to those seeking a devotional book that truly inspires you to spend time with God.
