About the Author
Harvey Gotliffe has been a freelance writer since 1963, and in 1986 he founded and directed the award-winning magazine journalism program at San Jose State University. He has published in major magazines, newspapers and online publications. Since 2000, he has worked with Yiddish-speaking Holocaust survivors, and written profiles of them. He lectured about Yiddish-speaking survivors at the annual conference of the International Association of Yiddish Clubs. He has researched, written and made presentations in the United States and Israel about Holocaust denial advertising in university newspapers. His research is archived at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. In the second edition of the Encyclopaedia Judaica (2006), Gotliffe wrote the three-page article, “The Jewish Press in America.” He is the editor and publisher of The Ho-Ho-Kus Cogitator and its blog, and is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, where he has written articles about Yiddish language and culture.
