I started reading it and couldn’t put it down from the first page! Mefford really got my attention and I wanted to know what happened. I’m not going to spoil things for you but at first I thought Ozzie was dreaming and was going to wake up with everything was ok. But not for poor Ozzie and the love of his life Nicole. Once again, Ozzie gets himself into a situation where he has to find the answers and goes off seeking them in the northeast part of US. He gets in touch with friends from the past but are they truly friends. He uncovers a distributing site of a very young girl kidnapped. And as always with Ozzie, he get beat up. Then ending the story was perfect for the series. As mentioned by the author, Ozzie will show up again in something.
You could read this book as a standalone but I would highly recommend starting from Ozzie #1 and read them all. You won’t be disappointed and may find out that like me John W. Mefford is one heck of a great writer.
Then things get crazier, if possible - the police find evidence that he hired someone to kill the victim. He knows he didn't and knows he's being set up. His attorney agrees to bring him in that evening, but Ozzie knows that if he doesn't clear his name, no one will be able to. So, with the help of a couple of friends, and making sure his daughter is safe, Ozzie takes off.
He ends up in the Northeast and calls on college friends for help. He soon finds out that nothing is as it seems and that some of these friends are actually setting him up too.
Of all the Ozzie books, this is without a doubt the best one! The ending will surprise you and aim you in a direction you never saw coming.
He is very lonely at this point, sorrow and the need to figure out the truth pushing him to a point of no return, with cops after him and crazy folks he meets involving him in their own affairs.
This is the last of the "Ozzie' books in the Redemption thriller series, now we are ready for all the friends we have come to meet to work together!! Author John Mefford introduces you to real people, not just flat, one dimensional characters. We love, hate, feel fear for and look forward to our 'friends' next adventure!
A marvelous thriller you will not be able to put down once you enter Ozzie'z world...
