I grew up in Meadow Lake, SK and moved to Quebec City in 1997. I am a School Library Tech, I teach English as a second language, and I do translation from time to time.
I've always enjoyed telling stories, and when a friend/assistant teacher encouraged me to expand a short story that I'd written for his class, I knew I had to write an actual novel.
Writing "Don't come here, Julie!" was really a labour of love. I wanted to create a girl character that wasn't a wimp, and tell a story with lots of action that will appeal to both boys and girls. Let me know if I succeeded.
I am a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature in West Redding, CT and was invited to do their Advanced Program. In the framework of this program, I wrote a sequel called "Don't tell Julie." I finished that program in Nov. 2014, and will continue tweaking the sequel. Keep your eyes peeled for it!
