This Is my Second Device that I have bought.
I would recommend this product if you want to Avoid Bugs !!!
I wanted to update my review on the attack wave pestrepeller. This is my 3rd year using the pestrepeller. I buy a new one at the beginning of spring. I use it on the patio where all the large dark colored roaches come at night. I also have had a great pest control company that sprays the entire outside of the house monthly. We still had the desert large roaches come up at night on the patio. For 3 years now we have seen one to none. If you get it wet it will sound a continuous sound and basically it's broke. This spring (2012) I bought one and it was working great until someone sprayed a lot of water on it with a hose. While I was waiting for another one from Amazon the roaches were coming back! It was a true trial if it really was keeping the bugs away. Since the new one has come nothing has appeared on our patio and our cats are bored! It really covers the entire area of the patio.
This past year we bought a modular home (ie.: 1,200 square-foot rancher double-wide) with a crawl space in a heavily wooded area just outside of Philadelphia. For the past 3 or 4 weeks the mice have been busy (first just at late-night then from evenings through early morning) gnawing at the wood in the floor, walls, and ceiling in every corner of the home. It's been relentless and maddening. While visiting some family in the Catskill region this holiday, we discovered that family had a similar problem in their late 1800's multi-story home and used this same device with success. They reported needing to operate it for about 5 days before all of their mice were completely gone.
Once received, we plugged ours in that afternoon and the change was IMMEDIATE and quite incredible. We placed it on the hardwood floor just outside of the carpeted master bedroom on the one end of the house and we haven't heard a single noise since. We stayed up late that night to watch a movie (and just to see if we could hear anything) and I was up early that next morning to check as well and NOTHING. Considering how relentless they've been and how cold it is this week (mid 20's), there is no chance of a coincidence. We thought maybe we'd have to buy a second repeller to have at each end of the home but it's not been necessary. None of the family's medium-sized dogs took any notice to it. We didn't have to move or rearrange it in any way. Couldn't have asked for better results.
Now I'm curious to see if it has any impact on the boxelder bugs in the spring and fall....
No more droppings. I think I got them right when they were getting established, so they decided to find another more quieter place. I have a relatively new home and used ridge vents. Big mistake. The foam ridge vents are just so easy for bats to get in to. Metal turbines will be replacing them soon.
