Slightly better deal than those "paracord bracelet kit for kids" things you see in your local Big Box stores. For just about anything else, it's a gamble at best.

While I expected the buckles to be essentially useless based on all the reviews, I did expect to at least receive the cord that I ordered. Unfortunately, like a few other reviewers, while my packaging was labeled with what I ordered (Simmering), I did not receive the colors shown. Orange was replaced by a mustard-y yellow.

I've yet to cut open and count internal strands/yarns, but for the record this cord *barely* measures 4mm thick. I'll be pleasantly surprised if there are actually 7 yarns inside. If the inner core is at least up to spec I'll adjust my review to 3stars, but only because there's no 2.5.

All in all it appears to be a cheap product made for children's crafts and nothing more serious.

I would NOT purchase this item again.

Pretty disappointed but I suppose it's my own fault for not going with another seller. The photos on the "3 neons" batch is highly over-saturated on the one that is "obviously" yellow, leading one to believe, since they don't put a single color description anywhere at all in the listing, that these would be yellow, red, and green (due to high saturation of yellow, the others, less saturated, would be red and green), however... These are yellow, bright pink, and dull blue... I needed green, specifically, for a project... Now I will be forced to go with yellow, and have a bright pink and dull blue that I simply cannot use... =/

I using this Cord was simple and I honestly preferred it when joining two pieces together, it was easy to pull the 7-strands out, cut and overlay it over the 2nd piece you want to join together. I made a handle for water-bottles/thermos, (etc) and it hasn’t broke, or ripped apart and it’s been used daily for a couple months.

When choosing to do another smaller project, I will definitely look to see what Paracord Planet has to offer in their 550, type III line.

Keep in mind when getting this, that if you have regular Paracord - it will take some work to piece that together with this one. The strands inside the Paracords I picked up at Home Depot & in a kit at Walmart, were both very different than this one! You may need to check the strength differences between 550, types I, II & III to understand the difference. This has a 7 strand cotton (I believe) inside that seems thinner but definitely lighter than Home Depot!

I receive about (or slightly over) 100’ of Paracord in this package

I have purchased several of the color combinations from Paracord Planet for my new found hobby. The colors combinations are a fine variation and the paracord is great quality. Each color hanks is just the right length for two regular bracelets. My big complaint is about the VERY POOR quality of the buckles provided with the orders. It is nice to have the color variety but the buckles stick and break and are just very poor quality. Taking the time to make a bracelet with only to have the buckle be stuck or break is on beyond frustrating, not to mention a total waste of the paracord. So order them for the color and quality of the paracord, but DO NOT use the provided buckles and find a different source.

I was a bit worried after reading the negative reviews, but they are from years ago. I have other cords I've ordered directly from Paracord Planet, and always been happy, so I ordered these. I am not disappointed! All the lengths are uniform and a minimum of 10'. Every color is included, as well as a variety of buckles in rainbow colors. An instruction sheet for the basics was included, and the plastic zip bag it comes in is sturdy enough to use for storing it all. I really love that they also melt the ends so you don't end up with up to an inch of unusable cord because the outer shell has receded. This kit includes:

550 Type III Paracord in 10’ lengths in red, orange, yellow, turquoise, blue, purple, and three shades of rainbow. Also included are 3/8” plastic contoured buckles in red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, purple, black, white, and clear.

If your looking for a combo pack of paracord colors, this is probably your best bet both for price and selection.
The cord itself is full size and round, not thin and flat like the cheap stuff often is. Colors are vibrant and per photos.
I have two complaints (hence minus one star:)
1, the length of each cord is 10 feet. For a normal adult sized bracelet you need 8 feet of cord (or two 4 foot pieces for a two-color bracelet. This means you will end up with 2 feet of cord that is wasted on each piece. They should either make them 8 feet, or 12 feet each to keep from wasting cord.
(UPDATE).. the below issue with clip design was for "boy scout" colors.. i just re ordered the "zombie" colors and the clips that came with them have the centering grooves,, they are also slightly translucent..
2, the clips are ok.. Size (3/8") is good and the colors are nice, but they do not have a self centering groove in the female side... If you look at the attached photo you will see the male side has the 2 arms that clip in, and a center arm that is designed to self-center the clip into the female end. This arm is also designed to keep the male section from popping loose if you twist the clips from side to side by keeping it aligned to the female side..BUT.. the female side does not have a groove or slot for the centering arm to mate into thus making it mostly useless. This is not a big deal if your just making bracelets for the kids, but if you want a really strong clip, these are not the best... that being said, your basically getting the clips for free so no big deal...

Was so excited to get this combo pack, and even though a couple of the colours were not as shown in the image (the purple was actually a blue-white-and-black combo paracord colour, and the dark green was replaced with a green-yellow-and-black version of the red-yellow-and-black cord that shows in the description image), it wasn't a total loss. I used them anyway. Good thing I didn't buy the pack for those specific two colours (the ones I did order this pack for were luckily ones that showed up in the pack :))
I like the fact that the paracord was not super stiff (as some can be), which made it easier for my kids to use to make their own bracelets, and want to make more!
I did the shrink test (boiling water), and it shrank very little. I made one way to big, and had to put it through boiling water a few times for it to get closer to the right size I wanted, so shrinking happens a little at a time, which makes it better for us perfectionists to not miss our "mark", lol.
So yes, pleased well enough with it that I would definitely order from Paracord Planet again in the future.

I was surprised there was adequate lengths perhaps a little longer than 10' and that is always good.
The buckles are not the exact colour as in the listing and that's ok it's still a good match.
Buckles in my order are: purple, 2 white, 3 black, green, red, yellow, blue
There is an instructional leaflet explaining how to make a cobra bracelet. There are b/w diagrams for each step. I like this extra.
What I would do if I was making a different knot than cobra (square knot) is use core cords from scraps if you have any long enough that way you won't run out before you are done bracelet. Just a suggestion
I thought the cord was not as thick as the usual 550-7 strand I have on hand. Didn't count the strands when I wrote this product review. Once again, I don't mind thus the 5 stars.
